I tried it with a remote as well. I'm missing the 16-pin wire harness for "connector 2." I also grounded the mute wire (light green), hand brake wire, and of course regular ground. is that the problem? do i actually need connector 2 wire harness to fix this problem?

does it matter if its oem? or not?

I'm looking to upgrading my z2 hard drive with the z3 image. Might as well buy a new hard drive. does any hard drive work or do I have to buy a specific one?

well yea for a piece of plastic... of course. but for security reasons, i guess it's worth it just for that... but in reality... its just a piece of $31 plastic. i was thinking of doing this or buying an old double din oem radio from the junk yard, possible for the same price. dont care if it works or not. anyways, i'd appreciate it if you can take pix of the back side. i want to see how snug it fits.
