  1. I have been having this problem also. It would not work and I would have to shut the truck off and restart. Then it would work. On saturday it started making noise in the disk drive. I thought maybe my AVIC was breaking down. By the end of the day it did not work at all and kept saying insert appropriate disk. I tried the west disk and it did not work and made noise. I went to best buy looking for a new unit. I then looked closer at the disk and it was splitting. My east disk is now in 2 pieces. I ended up ordering the disks from pioneer. I downgraded to the old discs and it works fine. Check
  2. If anyone is thinking twice about buying disks from SWDW just get them. These disks are great. He even printed the labels out that they look exactly like the real disks. I am really impressed. Thank you SWDW!!!!
  3. I just got my new 2008 disks and installed them today. Not much is different. I did notice that the navtraffic now has local citys listed. When you choose them it says something about the information provided is metro. Anyone else see this. It sort of looks like when you access data for your favorites.
  4. If you go to pioneer parts it used to say the disks were bacordered. Now it says temporarly out ETA 10/13/08. I hope that is not true.
  5. I am not sure if I understand your problem completly, but I am going to base it off of what I remember with my N3. I never had a need for my unit bypassed. I did not want to watch movies while driving, or enter a address. I then got the Navtraffic and noticed that all the icons were grayed out. I found that you had to be stopped with the parking brake on. I thought that was crazy. I wanted to see the traffic problems in my area without having to plot a route. So I bypassed my unit for that reason. Is your D3 unit bypassed?
  6. In my truck I found a wire that had 12 volts when in reverse. When I got my camera I hooked it up to that and it did not work. I had the same problem as you. I worked on it for hours until I figured it out. The wire that I found with 12 volts did not have enough power for the camera. When I checked the voltage at the camera I had 12 volts. When I pugged it in it dropped to 3. I just guess that the circuit could not handle enough amps to run the camera. I got the same results as you. With the camera unplugged it would show a black screen. With the camera plugged in it would act like it was not
  7. Thanks, I was not sure. Both instructions show it as first in the loop and I did not want to move everything around.
  8. Hello, I have an N3 and just got the navtraffic receiver. I currently have the Ipod adaptor hooked up. Do you have to daisy chain this in a certain order? Right now it goes from the hide away unit to the ipod adaptor. Can I go right to that or does the Xm unit have to go first?
  9. Do you have to do any cutting to your plate for this one? I have seen some cameras that you have to notch your plate and I do not want to have to do that. Also, is it a ccd camera? Thanks
  10. For the PSD, it is pin 58 at the PCM (Grey/Black). If you have the Overhead console, you can grab it at the passenger kick panel. It is Pin 10 there (same color). It is also in the GEM on pin 18 right behind the fuse panel. I'd imagine it would be easiest to take a 10mm socket and remove the connector on the back of the fuse panel and tap into one of the GY/Bk wires (pins 21, 22, or 14). They are all the same VSS signal. I have a 2004 with a n3 in it and have no problems with the speed pulse.
  11. I tried that with the west disk and it worked fine, but I am on the east coast. When I put in the east it says read error. I guess I just got a bad disk.
  12. Did you guys have to do anything to get these to work? Do you just put them in and go?
  13. I just called the post office to make sure I was right earlier in my post about the priority thing. They told me that it could take up to 14 days to recieve a priority package. If you go to their website it states that priority packages are delivered in 2 to 3 days on average.
  14. Really? Well don't bitch at me. I already have quite a few messages thanking me! Why dont you check your tracking number and see that I "supposedly" shipped it on the 24. Go bitch at your mailman for being too lazy to take out all his mail to deliver every day: Label/Receipt Number: 4200 4005 9101 1501 3471 1917 2639 81 Detailed Results: * Electronic Shipping Info Received, July 24, 2007 * Acceptance, July 24, 2007, 2:41 pm, OCEANSIDE, NY 11572 2:41PM it was shipped at the Post Office on Tuesday. Thanks for being a jerk. I would not worry about what he ha
