Ok, I think I've read too many threads and got myself mixed up a bit. If you get a z1 and update the software -- is that the same as a z2? And if you get the z1 + update the software, can you use the 2-wire bypass still? Apologies if this is already answered somewhere, but there's so many threads it's hard to grok the "final" answer. thanks in advance.

Cool thanks! You mean you can't use the screen to answer the phone while driving? And if I have the bypass, then everything works while in motion via the touch screen?

Hello, I found this site while researching the z1 vs the z2. I've read a lot about the bypass, but didn't see a summary of what exactly it's bypassing. (yes I did a search.) Could someone please summarize the functionality that this enables? thanks in advance.
