  1. I am looking for the safest way to use the Z2 image. I currently have the Z1 with the stock HDD. Is it possible to purchase a new HD and load the Z2 image on it? I would like to use a new drive so I can always put my original Z1 (with the orig Z1 image) back into my unit should I ever need to. Thanks!
  2. Which rebooting issue is this? I just had my Z1 repaired (new HD) due to the unit rebooting over and over on startup. No mods.
  3. Does the Z1 have detailed city maps in these areas as well?
  4. reset your system. Search in forums for the "know how" it will reset that error so you don't have to see it everytime your system starts. I searched for "know how".. no results. Is there really a way to get that message to go away?
  5. So.. my battery died last night, and I was jumped. I have done this several times. After the jump my Z1 displays the black "Starting Pioneer Car Navigation" screen and then the blue Pioneer screen. This screen stays on for about 10-15 seconds, and then it reboots and does the same thing over and over. I have tried holding "Map" but nothing works. I have also tried doing a front panel reset. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Maybe the software was corrupted?
  6. OK, thats right. I have it hooked up to a switched 12V. Thanks!

From the go, the Z1 reported no signal/no connection/etc, but before I even activated it, I was recieving like 6 channels (not the preview channels). I then called to activate the radio, and within minutes I was receiving all of the XM stations (although the Z1 still says its not connected and there is no signal). The problem is that every time I power down the Z1, and turn it back on, all of the XM stations are gone except for like 2 country stations, 24-27, and Radio Disney! No other stations work -- they are automatically skipped ov
  8. Heres my setup: 2003 Tahoe with Bose. I replaced the front speakers with a component set that is amped, but I want to keep the rest of the Bose speakers including the sub. I bought a Bose Module. After I plugged everything up, the Bose amped speakers are WAYYY louder than my amped speakers (with the gain on the amp all the way up). There is also some bad-ground-ish noise coming thru the speakers. Has anyone else experienced this with a Bose system? How can I lower the output level of the Bose amp? I read in another thread that before you take the stock head unit out, you should bala
