  1. haha...when I wrote ".......", I really wasn't being impatient. I started a reply about the pictures not showing up and tried to delete it, but it wouldn't let me delete just the reply...I would have to delete the whole post, so I just put something in there and it happened to be "......." Boring story, I know. Great idea! They're pretty much the same dimensions, right? I've been looking for just a generic trim kit that fit's well around the unit, but can't find one. Do you know of any? Sounds like a good program. I burn DVDs alot using AnyDVD and CloneDVD, but I don't
  2. The D3 protrudes a lot further than I'd like and the border that comes with it doesn't look all that great and leaves spaces around the unit. The way that my system is set up, there's also a gap behind the border and my dash because the mounting bracket sticks out a little and pushed the border out as well. If I had a thicker and deeper border, I could dremel the inside to make it fit more flush. 1) Are there standard borders (thicker and deeper than the one that comes with it) that fit the D3 more snug around the edges? And yes, I've searched for trim kits for my car (1998 Volvo V70) and
  3. ok cool. I'll pass that info along and post pics of my working, bypassed (hopefully) Avic D3. Thanks!
  4. ...specifically a 1998 Volvo V70... I've read through the threads dealing with bypassing the D3, but couldn't find much about installation of the D3 in Volvos. Does anyone know if there is anything unique about the wiring system in Volvos that might hinder the installation process? Has anyone seen any common problems when installing or bypassing the D3 in cars as old as 98? I'm getting it installed (professionally) tomorrow and am getting pretty nervous that the bypass won't work. The installer didn't know much about bypassing the D3, so I copied a bunch of text and pictures from avi
