Hi, I have a 3rd party reverse camera on my F30-BT. The camera is powered off the reverse lights. The head unit camera trigger is switched from the gearbox reverse switch and connected to the relevant input on the head unit. Obviously there is the video feed from the camera to the head unit. There is a system setting for the polarity of the camera input switching from the reverse switch. But that is all, it should just work when you select reverse.

hi to all,
Who can send me the password ?
thx
Read the first post all the information is there!!!

Once you have used testmode to backup your head unit you should then use the new map installer SD, that i assume you have. Usually the upgrade is a complete software and map install, I don't know how to replace just the maps, which is what I think you want to do. You are going to have to search the forum if this is what you want to do.

so have you downloaded the supertestmode key from the link i gave you?
If you have, then copy this key on to your SD card this should then activate testmode on your head unit.
But be careful in testmode you can brick your sat nav.
l suggest you use Google translate to read the threads carefully so you dont make a mistake!

There should be a speed pulse wire on the car to connect the at nav to. But you'd need to seek advice from a Hyundai dealer or owners club or a workshop manual to locate it.

Uli you should use Supertestmode from here on an AVIC F940-BT

Uli

Read through this thread
I think this will give you what you want, I'm fairly sure someone reports doing a F20-BT, just read the thread fully first

Going off topic here but so many comments about this in this thread... From v3 software onwards the AVIC F30/40-BT (930/940) need a 3rd party Database for speed cameras from POIbase.com
You load the database on to your head unit via SD card and then It will alert you. Note the head unit doesn't detect, it just warns you of cameras logged in the database against your GPS location.
That said I used POIbase for a year as I got a free subscription with the satnav. But I ditched it for CameraAlert from Pocket GPS World that runs on my phone and alerts via Bluetooth to the head unit regardless of whether I'm using the satnav or not. Oh and the database is updated weekly and covers Europe... Miles better than POIbase in my opinion.

It's on the Pioneer Here map upgrade site
Only £125...

I have to agree with you, I have a F30BT which is the same as an F40 following upgrade to v4. There is no option to display current road speed in any of the standard menu options unless it's a function coupled with the Eco mode? Not bothered trying that, I know how thirsty my beast is, I don't need reminding by my Satnav!
-
It certainly is quiet!
If you are at v4 then you just need the files posted by Pug in post 1 of the avic411 link in my previous response, you'll also need the crack file from Pionara linked in the same post.
BTW running on v4 or v5 there is no difference between a F930/F30 and a F949/F40 bar the front panel name badge...
If you have no luck with the files let me know and I'll see if I still have a copy somewhere... I tend to delete once installed successfully.

The update is part of the map upgrade which included the v4 features.
There is a thread on here for upgrading to the 2013 maps and that includes the v5 upgrade
http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/37407-2013-eu-update-f30-f930-f9310-f40-f940-f840-f8430/
It may be possible to upgrade from v3 to v5 but I'm afraid I don't know because I did 3 to 4 then 4 to 5. The last upgrade being done using the above forum link. You may also be better posting a query on that thread as it's quite active.
You could also check on the pioneer site
http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/support/software/AVIC-F930BT/page.html
I know a lot of links on avic411 are broken but with a degree of persistence I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for

The software update from v3 to v4 in effect turns a 930 in to a 940. I believe a v3 to v5 is also possible with the same outcome. The same applies for the F30BT

I've got an F30BT and from what I remember of this (I've binned POI in favour of CamerAlert on my phone which connects to the satnav over blootooth for the camera warnings and is lightyears ahead) use the POI application on your PC to select and download the required cameras to your SD card, subsequent downloads are done as updates in the application. Insert SD card in to unit whilst it's on and it should automatically detect the card and ask if you wish to upload the blackspot files... But I think you may need to have initially installed them as custom POIs for the updates to be detected.

AVIC-F30/40BT v5 running 2013 maps and update.
Has anyone managed to remove the warning text from the back up camera display?
I've tried modifying the EUGBENG.LNG & UCUSENU.LNG files by replacing the text with spaces but having replaced the files on the unit the camera output still displays the text.
I used this X Series thread as guidance
Any help much appreciated…
Edit
So the key to this is in the wording of the linked thread… each language file has 2 instances of the text to be removed… simple once I'd re-read the original thread a few times, just annoyed I'd missed it the first time, hope this helps anyone else trying to do this.

As far as I'm aware they don't... I have the F30BT and with the POIBase camera black spots you just got an audible warning when approaching safety cameras. That said I gave up with POIBase and now use Cameralert on my phone which has a far better database, it links via BlueTooth and I don't need to use it with maps because you can customise the timing of the warning given... It's also cheaper than POIBase for the annual database subscription which is updated almost weekly.

avic f930 bt model
Did you change any of the install files other than the validation key, did you apply any hacks to any of the installer files? If so you need to re-run the update with only the validation key changed. The installer must see all the original installer files for this update to run.

Thanks Pug found the newer posts in the nag thread after I'd posted my query here... ready, fire, aim always my troubleAs a heads up for this update, use this post for the offset: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/35523-remove-caution-nag-screen-bypass-hack/page-7&do=findComment&comment=269273
And follow the instructions for the very 1st post for instructions.
However I'm currently planning to edit the Navi.exe in the installer which should mean I don't even have to go back in and fix... one AVIC brick in the making, I hope not as I have found the offset you kindly posted and the hex looks correct so will report back how I get on.

Eeek get a message after the install has completed... wrong SD card insert correct card & continue
Well as predicted I have a brick... done a fresh download of everything and I always end up with the same error message re wrong SD card. Tried to reinstall my v4 but that won't run either now, not quite sure how to get back in to the unit but have my testmode SD card so will give that a try next. But if anyone has any ideas as to why this may have happened I'd be interested
So a note for anyone attempting what I foolishly did... Reading many of Pionara's posts I find you can't have any changed files within the updater. Part of the reason for my first failure, my subsequent failures were a result of a corrupt .rar file, this was compounded by my using a Mac with a windoze emulator to expand and create the update SD. Thankfully a fresh set of downloads and a reformatted SD have resulted in a successful map update. Now just the nag mod to apply tomorrow...
-
I'm gong to try this on my F30 that's been updated so is the equivalent of an F40 in all but badged name
I will see how it goes & if it's successful I'll make a donation to you Pug
Has anyone who's done this update previously done Pionara's mod to remove the nag screen and if so did you have to reapply the mod or does it still work?
I'm just unsure as to where the mod sits... in the OS or in the Navigation app.

The 2012 map upgrade for the 930 makes it a 940 in all but name

You could replace the sidelight feed in the SatNav car loom with a feed from the headlights so your sidelight/running lights don't put the unit into night mode... It's a while since I had a Saab, but are the dash lights on all the time? If not a tap off that circuit would do the trick.

The problem is likely to be because you did the RenewallFLib mod... Which is not required.
All you needed was the download of the software from post 1, that download already includes the file fixed by Pionara.
Reinstall without doing the RenewallFLib mod
