  1. Time to record an audio cd to the unit took between 15-20 min for me. Routing on the Z2 was fine though Pioneer's GUI for GPS Nav isn't very user friendly compared to garmin portable gps devices (or maybe anything garmin). On the garmin you can just *bam bam bam* and go. On the Pioneer it definitely takes awhile and the approach isn't as easy as garmin. Bluetooth on the device is superb. I have mine paired with a Moto E815 and it's excellent. No complaints from anyone about echos or whatnot. I have my mic positioned in the center of the car behind the rearview mirror.
  2. Wow didn't know the Kenwood model was that great. Don't know if the maps are good it being 2 gigs and all vs the Pioneer 's 20 gigs (?), though the Kenwood does have the Garmin. Being a user of a garmin nuvi i definitely love it, though I don't know if I can toss out more POI and detailed maps for better gps and less POI. Question though for those of you with it. I know the Kenwood has traffic display via XM but from their site it also says they get traffic through TMC. I know select Garmin portable GPS models can get traffic through a TMC receiver, do you need to get a TMC receiver fo
  3. you can still set new direction (and/or vicinity search) using the voice recognition while driving right?
  4. bringing this from the dead ! I believe I found the 20pin plug (w/ the red-black wire) for the reverse light, I'm not too sure. When I take out the plug, handbrake on, and put the car in reverse, the reverse lights still come on. Is that supposed to happen?
  5. question to this one, can the unit play mp3s ON the dvd?
  6. I can find the brake wire (red/white) along with the reverse light wire (red/black)? I haven't had the time to install it yet, but I checked the bottom of the fusebox(DKP), is the 20 pin plug the black one with all the wires wrapped in a black plastic sheathing? Anyone have a picture of this? If it is so, this will require removing the bottom panel am I correct? Doesn't look like I can reach there just by removing the fusebox lid unless I am wrong.

    iPod and Z2

When you mean it's a pain and difficult, is it just slow browsing through songs/albums on the Z2? You can alleviate this by just connecting the ipod through the aux input of the Z2 and use the ipod's controls right(of course this defeats the point of having ipod compatibility feature on the z2) ?
  8. Hey there, I'm going to be having a Z2 arriving to my house sometime next week and have been searching around here but couldn't find an answer to this one. Do you guys ground the brake wire for the Z2? If not, is there a brake wire I can wire the unit to w/o taking out the center console where the handbrake is (and if so where is this)? Also, on one of the searches, MisFit says Any idea what DKP means and anyone have an exact picture of this? btw, it's an 03 Camry with stock headunit no jbl. It's not my first time installing a unit, but it sure is a first for a navigati
