No need to buy something, just reset settings from testmode menu or delete user database files in extdata partition.

For truck info you need another license file. Seems like this info is only useful for truck drivers.

Remove OK screen for x000(5000-8000NEX/F960BT/F60DAB)

Just try to unpack using latest available rar/unrar/winrar utility. I think we can ask asd255 to upload .zip instead of .rar- 38 replies

It's safe if you following instructions carefully, you can always delete one file to restore your device to original state. But only navigation-related OK screen will be removed. Smartphone warning OK screen will not be removed by this patch. * You can ask any questions regarding this patch in our chat.- 38 replies

NTFS-formatted USB stick is needed for backup image (size depends on device's internal sd card size (can be 4, 8, 16 GB)). For testmode key and copy script you can use USB stick of any size. You can find additional info here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/81469-avic-development-mod-device-backup/

You can do this in different ways. You can mount /system as read-write and append line to file or overwrite file using copyscript or UART console. You can also mount internal sdcard using your PC and edit file directly.

AVIC Development Mod - Device Backup
WhatIsWhatIsWhatIsWhat replied to bass_rock's topic in NEX Series
Please backup all three areas of your current device NOR flash (mtdX) and use any binary comparison tool to check differences with backup you already have. It seems for me that your nor flash isn't completely broken. Also please check your PM again.- 55 replies

AVIC Development Mod - Device Backup

NOR flash contains different areas, easyrecovery is at the end, but another areas are also present (like bsp, serial number, model info and so on), so you should restore only needed parts and only from the same device. Also, as I said before, NOR flash contains bootloader code, so it is very easy to completely brick your device. Partial information about NOR flash contents and how to rewrite NOR flash areas you can find here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/81468-the-avic-development-mod/?p=334364 You need to erase flash regions using ioctl (memory will be filled with 0xFF values),- 55 replies

AVIC Development Mod - Device Backup

Please try to set both boot mode and launch mode to zero to check if this helps you. Use "bsp set [parameters]" command. Don't remember right command format, try "help bsp" or "bsp help", maybe "help bsp set" to show right parameters.- 55 replies

AVIC Development Mod - Device Backup
WhatIsWhatIsWhatIsWhat replied to bass_rock's topic in NEX Series
Connect uart adapter to pins (as in your image), power on your device and you will see bootloader's boot log. Be sure you using 3.3-volt version of adapter, not 5V. If nothing happens try to exchange TX and RX pins. Also, NOR flash contains bootloader code at the beginning, so if your device have corrupted NOR flash it will not boot. In this case you should reflash NOR flash using JTAG or by desoldering chip and using programmer.- 55 replies

Make sure that you searching for 3.3 volt version, not 5 volt (this can "brick" your main CPU).

Hello. Export snapshot image function is broken in pioneer's firmware and can not be used. Bug in export code produces 256 Mb file filled with first 128KB chunks of original data from internal sd card. Even more, catch snapshot mode is intended for creation of this snapshot in internal sd card, not importing already created snapshot from external storage. You locked your device in unbootable state. In catch snapshot mode kernel loads about 1-2 seconds and then reboots. All that you need is connect USB-UART adapter (China-made $2 clone of FT232RL, CP2102 or something like this) to yellow co

Welcome to the club!. Never try testmode keys or settings the purpose of which you don't know You can unbrick your device using USB-UART adapter. But before doing this try to write firmware as device wants, maybe device will switch mode after flashing firmware.

Bootloader debug console is always enabled. From this console you have full access to your device, including access to the bsp. This info is not yet documented, please check your PM.

I doubt it as A-key is checked in regular firmware, but I recommend to check this out. Try to boot with all three possible N-keys. Never tried this, but I think you can exit recovery mode by flashing your firmware from recovery mode. If nothing helps - just buy for $2-$5 simple USB-UART adapter (3.3-volt compatible), connect adapter to yellow connector on the back side of your unit and restore bsp boot fields using bootloader console.

In this case nobody will maintain first post of topic with actual information.
