Everytime I try to do this upgrade, it doesnt work. "unable to record cd" wtf? its single session I think, and its mode 1 for sure, only files on the CD-r how do you guys burn this? data right?

Make sure that your CD-R follows these specifications as follows; - You can only use a CD-R finalized with single-session format. - You can only use a CD-R finalized with "Mode-1" format. Im sorry, whats that mean?lol

AHHH! wtf.. So I went to do the method 4 reset, and now it gets past the loading pioneer navigation screen.. finishes... and then turns black and wont do anything.

Can someone please list the types of resets for the z2 and how to do them? Im having the problem where it wont start up, and its just getting worse, I hear a level 4 reset will help, I searched on here and ppl just say look at the instructions.. My roommates threw that box out! They thought it was trash, so thats gone... so now I dont have that and thus im having a problem doing the resets.

ok, so I have an avic z2, and I know alot about computers (Im a computer tech), but shit about car audio, and this website just helped me fix and bypass my z2, THANKS EVERYONE!!

Its all connected to the same thing it was before, I just checked, it worked great before. and it wont play the audio from a cd or dvd, but u can watch both, but you can listen to am and fm..

not it, looked. not to mention i didnt touch the ipod or the interface, or the cables for it, and it worked before.

Anyway to fix the scratch? and it cant be that... I mean everything else is working BUT the audio portion of it.

I fixed the parking brake problem, now just got to understand why the damn ipod isnt working, and the speakers are working, am and fm is working.. just ipod isnt. And it isnt a cable, because I can view all the songs on the screen, and its charging the ipod.
