The instructions don't really say specifically whether to install AppRadio.app first, or AppEx first, and it also doesn't say which version of AppRadio.app or the unit FW you should be running...

Okay so that probably explains the black screen on the radio itself. I had the AppEx from ModMyi before. I'll install the latest beta and test again. Also, from my post before, I did throw the deb up on a cydia repo. http://cydia.myrepospace.com/oneyozfest182/

Or maybe I had the wrong version of AppEx/AppRadio installed? I was on 1.8.2 with iOS 6. Maybe that was my problem? I updated to v2.0.1 but haven't had a chance to test it yet. Hoping 1.8.2 just didn't work right on iOS 6 or something. I was also on the iOS 5 AppEx from Cydia. I'll try to test it with v2.0.1 AppRadio and the latest 2.1b4 AppEx from the first post and see if that solves my problems. Question: Should I install AppEx from Cydia first, and then download AppRadio.app from the AppStore on top of that, or should I download AppRadio.app first and then install AppEx in Cydia on top

Jab, I appreciate your efforts, but that's only for the wallpaper in the Apps page. He actually changed the Firmware update on the AppRadio unit itself to modify the wallpaper behind the main screen with the big clock, the radio, phone, apps, etc buttons, all that. This is the picture from his Craigslist post:

Even after uninstalling AppEx I get a black screen on the deck with my phone connected, but on my buddy's phone it works just fine. Any ideas what it might be? Also, the new AppEx beta is for the lastest version of AppRadio.app right? I know the iOS 5 one needed like 1.8.2 or something not the 2.0.X Last question, I bought one used on Craigslist and the guy modded the firmware update to change the wallpaper to a Ford logo. Opening the source code before hand could lead to updating for iOS 6 faster, but this is your project and ultimately your choice. I hope to see this ported over soon. Also, does this work even without e-brake bypass installed or does the radio see it as video needing the bypass?

Dying to hear some update on iOS 6 progress... Even a new, half-working beta would be better than nothing. Please let us know, Mike! Thanks again for all your hard work!! EDIT: +1 on making this project open-source. If it was a paid tweak it'd be one thing but since you're working for free, why not let others chip in and help out? And then maybe this thing could not only expand faster, but also further in functionality as well, and hopefully with more minds chiming in, less bugs as well! Keep considering it!!
