You can try removing the SD card reader ribbon cable. Somtimes the contacts short stopping it booting.

After trying to bring my F900BT back to life, as there is only service screen and no power to SD or USB so it cannot boot or read SD or USB memory, I found there is a hardware fault and athough I have the service manual (CRT4166) it doesn't have the GPS/CPU section in which I believe is where the fault lies. Has any one access to this section?

I've been trying to flash my F900BT as it just has blank screen with button led's for 30 secs or so then they go off. I can always get in service mode, and strange it will go in just holding menu and map but I always do it with four buttons pressed. Although the blue led flashes with the sd card in and winceimg.bin winceimg.cks testmode on the card, nothing happens, even after 20 mins. Sometimes the screen is blue, this time it is two thirds white one third yellow. In service mode can I test the sd card? I tried with a USB stick and files in service mode but it said the 'cable is not co

Is there any reason why I cannot use a bench power supply instead of the unit in the car while I'm flashing the F900BT?
