  1. Thanks for advice Ducati. I have quadruple checked my wiring. It's solid and nothing has come loose. Now what I'm not sure of is the firmware version. A year ago when I installed the update, I don't remember if the firmware version changed to 2.0000500 like Pioneer's site suggests it will do with their update. Does the firmware version change to 2.0000500 using the update in this forum or only the official Pioneer update? Because my version says 2.0000. The only thing I can think of is when I held down the reset button a few months back it wiped the update. But when I try to reins
  2. Mine has worked for over a year, and just last month it started acting up. I checked and re-checked my connections and they are solid. I get the error message that the parking brake is not connected correctly and video doesn't play until I stop the car. The parking brake shows "on" in the menu. Something is screwy because I don't have to pull the hand brake I just have to stop the car. The only thing I can think of is I hit reset a few times (I also got mad and held it down for like a minute) last month because it kept locking up on boot up. (It was a hot week over 95+. That tells me th

I'd double check to make sure you have v.2.0 in the Settings>Service Info scree. If you do, then I would double check secure connections of the two wires. Hope that helps.
  4. Ok I left the Z2 alone for a while so myself and the Z2 could cool off! It booted up and hung again at the text screen. I hit RESET and finally booted up! Was really worried I was going to be the unlucky one! I will be doing the bypass soon. Should be cake now. Thanks!
  5. Maybe someone can help me here. I've read the whole forum, two or three times. I burned the image to the CD, inserted CD, ran the update, hit RETRY 44 times and finally worked. After 100% it rebooted, installed the files, I hit OK at the time/date default screen. Now I'm thinking good to go. SO, I hit the RESET button, and it rebooted. However, the system hung at the splash screen. So I hit reset again. Now it just hangs at the begging where it says "Starting Pioneer Car Navagation System..." I haven't done the two wire bypass yet. Do I have to do the two wire bypass before I c
  6. Does anyone know what else was updated from Pioneer other than the ability to bypass? Just curious if there's release info somewhere. Thanks!
