Received my HDD last week, finally installed it today because I had issues with 2 stripped screws. Shipping was fast and installation was a cake. Oh man right when it booted up jesus I thought my ear was about the blow. The beeping volume was high and it was pretty crazy. I fixed the volume and it is fine now. Some reason my coordinates are off by like 50 miles, I guess I will have to drive my car tomorrow so it can pick it up. Garret is the best and I would recommend you guys getting his HDD service. Yea, the static doesnt change. It occasionally goes away and comes back. The only time the static stops if I unlock the doors of my car or turning the key to the II, which will cause the static to go away. A loose wire, but where? On the speaker or on the unit?!?!

Yea i have that problem too, but I have it on my passenger door side. Only 1 of my speaker is going static. iono what it is and its annoying!

Okay guys, I have a question. I have had my Z1 installed for about 1yr ish or so. A few weeks ago my passenger side door speaker was getting a little weird. It occasionally buzz/static sound but all the other speakers are fine. Even when I put the volume to 0 i only heard the buzz/static from the passenger door speaker. It occasionally goes away and comes back. The only time when it really stop buzzin is when I turn my engine off to the II (second) notch and the buzzin goes away. Today, I was driving and it was buzzin/static more than usual and I was trying to troubleshoot it by mess

Yea, I check out your URL from the PM and it looks easy to do. I was thinking about taking your route or the CD route from Pioneer because I can share it with my bro so he can upgrade his Z2 map to the Z3 map, but I haven't decided what to do yet. Since you are going on vacation next week if anything I will PM you.

Basically from option A and B, you basically get identically the same update right. The only difference from A and B is that if you are getting B it is cheaper and faster but you get all the same update. But man 2-3hrs that is nuts. LoL Is it hard to remove the HDD? Is it just taking out screws and pulling out the HDD and slapping the new one in and screw it back? Sorry never really look into removing it so I wouldnt know. Sorry for my noobness I have read regards the freezing issue a few months ago when Pioneer release the new update, I was searching on the forum and I forgot where the information regards the issue. I have download the update before and it is stored on my computer, but I have not updated it yet. The question is that will the update mess up my bypass, I know this have been covered so many times already and you guys are probably annoyed by multiple threads of this. My second question is how do I update my map and everything else to a Z3. Is it from my understanding that the map only update

hmm it seems the person did my bypassed probably messed up thats why. How would i check the plugs? Do I have to open my dash and check the back connectors?

Sorry I know this may probably have been solved, I go on this forum occasionally to get updates and keep up to date with problems etc.. Ok I have the bypass done to my car, I do not know if this is the cause for it, but my navi does not go to Night Mode is there any possibilities to get that working again? Its pretty weird driving out at night and ppl can see inside my car or who ever in my car because the screen is bright. I just dont like that. Just asking if there is a resolution to this. I was wondering if I bought the upgrade disc I can use it more than once right. Like I can share it with other people AVIC system to update their map. Its probably silly to ask, but just wanted to make sure. I think there wouldnt be a problem.

Since the new iPod touch is coming out and it cay play music video, what can you do to connect to the Z1 to make it play the music video music on our Navi?
