I was about to post same thing. Is the old appex posted somewhere I can downgrade?

I used to have an issue where I'd lose touch after 20-30 seconds of running an unsupported app because appradio would crash/close. After installing Background Manager and adding AppRadio to it, it stayed in the background fine and didnt crash anymore. After several weeks it stopped working. Not sure if it's due to the latest appex version I upgraded to or the version of background manager or something else. Anyone know what the root cause of this was as it used to be an issue awhile ago that was fixed before.

Actually I think it is the only one. The ones I noticed that didn't was because the app didnt support it at all so that was fine.

I've noticed same thing with any unsupported app. Sometimes it fills up most of the screen (w/triangles) and sometimes slightly smaller. No idea what causes it for me either.

After upgrading Background Manager to 0.9-9 (and also 0.9-10) the 20 second crash issue is gone! Unsupported apps now stay active with touch support. One issue I'm having (didnt recall anyone else mention this) is that when I play a video, it plays correctly in landscape mode but when the video finishes and goes back to video list, it's now portrait and the video list is small and embedding inside the video player. Hard to describe but I can post a picture when I have time. When this happens I just need to exit and reopen appradio. So no big deal. Just wondering if anyone has this problem

I was hoping this backgrounder would resolve my issue with appradio crashing after 20 seconds of not touching the radio for unsupported apps. Unfortunately it did not. It was buggy for me. When appradio was enabled I had trouble getting the headunit into appradio mode.

Since mine already crashes with 2.2, ill try it and report back. Unless you mean EVERYTHING crashes and not just unsupported apps.

That happens to me too but what's weird is this happens even when I'm not connected to the lightning cable. Just being connected to Bluetooth makes my text message to landscape when I'm holding it portraits. In a way that's good so that I'm not texting and driving. Sorry I wasn't more clear regarding where the settings were. I'm guessing you're not having any of the appradio crashing issue I'm having. I can't think of any other Cydia tweak installed that would cause it.

You mean you don't see any unsupported apps in the head unit? In settings -> appex, make sure unsupported apps is enabled and you have each app you want shown turned on in "show in menu" And do full reboot if you haven't already.

Yes works with 8500 and iPhone 5. Touch works too with newest appex version. If you install let me know if you run into an issue with appradio crashing after 20 seconds of not touching the screen. I have your same setup and everything works except that.

Still having this issue even after I uninstall, reinstall, reboot. What's weird is in the previous appex version I didn't have the 30 sec crash issue while everyone else on the forum did. Now with the latest beta it seems opposite. It crash when I don't use touch for a few seconds.

Appradio still crashing for me on unsupported apps for some reason. For those that have the latest appex working, do you use any backgrounding tweak like backgrounder to keep it alive?

X8500 with Iphone 5 6.1 tested latest update from Cydia. unfortunately appradio is still crashing for me. i was able to play angry birds for a few minutes fine. when i played a video, and left it running without touching screen, the appradio app would crash and id lose touch capability. after about 20 seconds not 30. tried rebooting several times but same behavior. i did notice some apps correctly going to landscape now when they didnt before.

Mike is a god. Thank you so much for all the work. X8500 with iPhone5 6.1 and haven't run into the crashing bug yet. Touch works sometimes. Will play around alittle more this weekend. Haven't been able to test that much since I've been driving but love watching espn full screen now!
