1. well that's worthless Apple really is doing a good job Fing people over with the iphone ($200 drop, bricking unlocked, no 3rd party, now priority A/V) The whole reason I got an iPod based device is because the support that everyone else (Pioneer, etc) has developed to match.
2. Ironically they didn't touch the V1 when they stole my Eclipse CD8442 (what I had before the D3). Kinda funny to because the deck was busted. The V1 was worth waaaaaay more
3. Here are just a few I made Nav screen: WRX
4. mine does not either. I would check and disable the ipod "sound check" I also have all my MP3s normalized to 89db
5. I got DivX Converter and it is working great. Just convert all the files, then burn to CD-R or DVD-R You can get it free from here: http://slickdeals.net/?permadeal=9654#direct_deal_9654
6. Well I just burnt another disk with multiple divX files and they all were non readable Is there a special version of divX I need to burn these? The properties of the files say: Compression: DivX (some YV12) Sample: 12 bit Data rate: 204kbps MP3 audio...
7. Anyone have any tips for good divX settings? I just burnt a disk with some divx files in widescreen and there are black bars all around. I tried letterbox and pan but it just stretches the file but leaves huge bars on top and bottom. They were all set at 640x480 resolution I have divX converter and TMPGENC author 3 (with divX). Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
8. just tried to copy/paste the contents of the disk then add the Pictures folder then burn UDF mode in Nero... no dice. It would not even let me set a picture off the DVD. It said no such folder. I wonder if a picture CD must be on a CD or single layer? I'm now ripping the disk to an ISO and going to try and add the pictures folder to the ISO then burn edit: could not get the ISO open in winISO so I just quit and burnt a CD-R with the pictures folder
9. Here is a quick Q: Can I copy my Nav disk, add a Pictures folder with jpgs, burn and use that? Is there anything special about the nav disk or can I just burn it as a regular data DVD-DL?
10. well since my old stereo was stolen and I did not want a repeat with the D3. this thread gave me a great idea. I had an old boost gauge that was busted so I dissected it and made it 2D and mounted it on some free black plexi
11. still trying to determine if you can disable the clock on the D3... please someone tell me how if you know Also, where is the best place to find updated nav DVDs? Also how can I tell if my DVD is the latest one? Just wondering because I have noticed that my road (completed at least 5 years ago) and another road I frequent are not on the nav.
12. I installed everything today and I must say that this HU rocks! Still cannot figure out how to remove the clock feature... any tips? also, should it come with a remote?
13. because I have one just above the radio that is easier to look at. its a pet peeve. why need two?
14. Can someone please explain to me how to disable the clock? I've searched the forums and manual w/o anything.
15. I'm a '03 WRX owner. Very excited about this new system as my old Eclipse CD5442 HU was stolen last week. I really like the idea of the BT, so I was looking at the P9800BT and P7900BT but in the end I decided to splurge. The video, touch ipod control, and divX were the selling points. Nav will also be nice. I do have some Qs: 1) anyway to disable the clock? 2) how well does the D3 play burnt media (prefer +R/-R)? how about DL (whats Layer Jump Record mode)? 3) vss wire is going to be #1 on top/right plug on ECU correct? 4) I'm planning on bypassing, but currently have no other
