  1. is it possible to downgrade from the 1.6 update back down to 1.3. sent in my hu for repair and pioneer updated it. things have not been as good since. really want to go back. any help would be appreciated. thanks
  2. i have only got this to work with Google music.
  3. yeah technically my phone is supported but not the os. the only supported os was gingerbread. im on jellybean now. dont know if that makes a difference. i just use the mhl connection that came with the pioneer adapter kit. everything works great except the gps issue. really sucks because i would love to use waze. pioneer is dropping the ball here by not making this more compatible with other phones and os. they are loosing out on a huge bonus to a great radio. right now it is just a novelty. hopefully some day. ill have the radio for a long time. will be perfect when arl is fully fu
  4. im confused my phone button takes me to the phone screen right away. only time it doesnt is if you havent gone through the maps nag screen. once you have seen the map once any time i hit the button after it goes right to the phone. also you can change the volume settings so that 1) it will fully mute the music when you are on a call. actually gives you three different mute levels. i personally like a little background music when on a call, 2) you can adjust the navigation volume as well. seems to me like you just havent played around with it enough yet and just expect it to be set perfec
  5. did you move the wire or add a new one? if you added a new one you didnt ground both did you? you would only ground the new one and leave the original not connected to anything.
  6. i am using the pioneer wire and nothing else with my sprint galaxy s2. i have total control using appradio, pandora, and bluetooth audio. i can play movies with no issues on the screen. so it is phone specific not just the wire. it is not 100% confirmed on all devices.
  7. sometimes i have noticed that the biggest reason for it not to connect is simply that it is having problems auto starting Pandora. if you open it on your phone it will connect right away.
  8. I have been trying to use waze on the app radio on the Z150BH. or even maps for that matter. i get gps on my phone before i connect and i have gps on the regular nav on the radio but for some reason i can never get waze or maps while using appradio to pick up a gps signal. is there something else i need to do? any help would be appreciated. thanks
  9. i thought this was only with the GS3. the adapter kit says that the wiring is a mhl adapter. i have had mine all wired up and ready to install but all of my free time has been taken by getting my house and yard ready for my daughters 1st birthday tomorrow. it will be going very soon. i have a sprint gs2 so i will let you know if you need the adapter or not when i get it in.
  10. how long have you had it this way?
  11. they are all double din radios to they are physically the same size. should be fine in a chevy,
  12. Thanks for the follow up. good to know this is proven now.
  13. exactly. i mean the thing has only been out like what... a month? a little more. you know that if they sent it out with the app being a problem that someone would complain about that too. like was said the radio has a ton of options already. better to put it out complete than to have to update it again in another month. at least they are doing their due diligence to get it right the first time.
  14. did you do that for a specific reason. I didn't see anything about that being part of the bypass. should I not connect that?
  15. did you hook up the speed sensor wire as well? just curious. thanks
  16. I seriously want to scream and throw this harness in the damn trash. I have tried so hard to release this mute wire and it wont even budge, arrrrgggggg I am tearing this up trying to get it, I cant believe I haven't just broke it enough to come out already. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. these are the three things i bought from the recommendations over in the jeep forum. the last wire is what i think i am going to have to modify to the green plug used for the pioneer gps port. the first one is the splitter for the original antenna wire so it can be used for both gps and siriusxm. he was installing it with an alpine deck not pioneer. like i said i was able to find a green plug that i can attach to the end that needs to be modified. the second link is an adapter to use with the siriusxm box to the splitter. i hope this all makes sense. thanks for trying to help. h
  18. yeah no you dont need to move it. you can get another pin and put another wire in there and leave the original along. i wouldnt even know where to get a new pin that small.
  19. when you move the mute wire let me know how you did it. its on the bottom of the harness and i dont know how to release it. thanks
  20. so i will be installing my z150 in the next few weeks when i get some time. my question is about the pioneer gps wire. i am installing it in a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. i got a few adapters that is going to allow me to use the existing car antenna and use it for both my siriusxm and gps. however because pioneer uses the stupid green plug and not a standard gps plug is is making me have to do extra work. i found a green adapter from a place in china that i can put on the end of a wire however the whole thing is giving me anxiety about having to alter the gps wire in anyway. has anyone don
  21. Can somebody post a pic or explain how to remove the pin with the mute wire so you can move it? i watched a how to online but it was for the z140 and the wire was on the top of the harness so they could press right into the harness after popping up the lock piece on top and free the wire. this mute wire is on the bottom. how would i release the wire? any help would be appreciated. thanks
  22. ok good point. it seems like this method of grounding the pb wire and moving the mute wire seems to be working. people only getting the nag screen once and then never again. thanks for setting me straight.
  23. this is from the second page of this thread http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36261-z150-bypass/?p=264071 there is a link to a different thread for one of the other new models out now.
  24. i think even with the android pioneer kit you still need the samsung mhl adapter linked on the pioneer website. i dont think its a cable just an adapter. i think i saw it for 10 bucks.
  25. did you get the samsung mhl adapter that is needed per the Pioneer website? i think it is 10 bucks. i think you need this on top of the android kit.
