  1. Update 3: So I just got around to actually doing a few more test. Man, this thing is sensitive. I would be stopped in the road and DVD would be playing, as soon as I would let off the brake and start inching forward it would cut off and warn me about it. Tried that a few times. Same results. Secondly, I would stop and be able to enter my route via the keyboard but as soon as I would let off the brake the keyboard would grey out... So.....I took that mmw that I had not grounded yet and grounded. Started playback of the DVD and took off driving. No warning or anything. DVD continued to play
  2. Ok update 2: While taking a short drive, got the dreaded 'can't view video while in motion screen" so it appears as though just having the parking brake grounded is not going to cut it. I'll ground the mmw later and report back. We'll see what happens.
  3. It was terribly hard to get out. And what will add fuel to the fire is if you don't end up needing it. Sooner than later we'll probably need that wire, but after my experience above, I'm not hooking it up
  4. Ok just a quick update I moved the yellow/black strip wire over one slot as pictured here where this guy has the green wire. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36184-avic-x850bt-bypass/ I just took that mute out and moved it over. Hooking everything up right and post back after with results Update: So I ran a small test- I decided to NOT ground the mmw (moved mute wire) and only ground the parking brake wire. I hooked everything else as needed. I have the mmw kind of pulled to the side where I can see that it is not touching anything. So to clarify, the only thing groun

    iPhone 5 support?

eh.. just thinking about the other units that don't have hmdi inputs.
  6. Sounds exactly what I was thinking regarding how to remove the pin. Additionally, I get a sense from your post that after having moved the mute wire and then grounding it along with the parking brake wire that it (the bypass) did work for some time? Only after a few days it stopped. Is that correct ?
  7. Thing is, do I necessarily have to move the wire or can I get another pin and place it in the open slot, then ground the new wire w/ parking brake? I don't think I need to move as long as I get another to fit correctly. My issue is where exactly do I put the new wire? Which open slot?
  8. Ok z150 should be arriving this weekend. I'll try to follow the instructions and see what happens with the bypass. Maybe try to get some pics or something. I would like to know exactly what to do though. I'll find my mute wire and move it (somewhere) and the ground it along with the parking brake wire. That somewhere is where I need help.

    iPhone 5 support?

Which makes you wonder if you could dissect the digital adaptor and graft it onto the 30 pin adaptor? Hummm
  10. Ok cool. Thanks RonS. Thought that maybe there's some sorta hack being injected into the system under the 2012 map load. Analogous to iPhone jailbreak or something. I guess I was reading too much into into. I'll look up the other. Thanks again! I'll probably be very interested in this once my maps get outdated.
  11. AR seems to be very android friendly. Especially AR2. Look at ARLib...
  12. I agree it looks easy to follow. What I'm trying to find in this thread is what is the benefit of doing this? At least for the 2013 models.

    iPhone 5 support?

2000se, on 22 Apr 2013 - 21:39, said: That is correct. <-- So with anything that does not have HMDI input, iPhone5 will not have video support people. Now - There's video at the bottom of the iphone5 at the lighting port. It just doesn't want to come out unless you have the digital adaptor. My guess is there is a chip in that adaptor that signals the iphone5 to release the video out the lightening port. I have also seen usb video adaptors for monitors and pc's. If someone can trick the lightening port to thinking that it has a digital adaptor hooked into it, it may pass the video

    iPhone 5 support?

I thought the whole point was that the iPhone5 does not output video over the standard USB cable and needs the digital adapter to send video? Is this not the case?
  15. Hey people! Straight newbie here. I'm gonna ask a very newbie question because I just don't get this thread. This may be why I m confused to begin with. I just ordered a 2013 z150. The topic of this thread is "2012 US/CAN Maps - CNSD-310FM/UC upgrade" - -Why would I want to upgrade the maps to a 2012 year over the 2013 year I already have? BTW- you can laugh at that question -What the heck is a "CNSD-310FM/UC upgrade"?
  16. Hello fellows. Newbie here. First post. Let the lashings begin. I've been reading this thread and trying keeping up but will probably have questions. My z150 should be arriving shortly. VBLUE42, do you feel Pioneer has integrated the bypass into the z150 differently than the previous models (z140, 130 etc)? From reading I get the sense no, however I also feel people are not as convinced that it works the same as it did in the previous models or should I say that there has not been an overwhelming sense that this is "sure fire" / "not up for discussion" type of thing. I get the impress
