  1. So pioneer confirmed that the Blackberry will not transfer the phonebook. So I got the idea that I would use my Sprint 6700 PDA in combination with the Jetware software to transfer my contacts........Think again! The phonebook is specific to each phone. The 6700 is just a PDA and I can't use it to make calls. Not that I would want to, as I can't stand a two-handed mobile. 8 million registered blackberries and pioneer can't make thier s*** compatible.... and that is exactley who I blame. Like I said the Garmin picked up on the contacts without even hitting a button. Not to mention Pio
  2. "option to tranfer via bluetooth" BB never gives me this option. Thanks
  3. I just installed my cdbtb200 today and the hands-free works great but the phonebook will not transfer from my Verizon BB-8703e. Pioneer said today (Saturday) that my Blackberry didn't have the required protocols installed! When I told him it tranferred my phonebook to my Garmin within seconds... he said "I don't know then" and to "call back Monday and talk to one of our mobile guys". My BB runs firmware 4.1 and I am reluctant to flash it to 4.2 from another carrier even if it was the answer. I feel like I have paid plenty for this setup and I am a littled pi**ed off at this point. Not to
  4. Cannot set time correctly. As close as I can get is one hour off using the +/- 3 option provided. Doesn't matter whether I turn summertime on or off. Pioneer is telling me I have a bad unit and to take it back i.e. (bad crystal). That's just great after I have done the mod and all. I never did check the time after the install... only after I modded and did the factory reset. I find it kind of hard to believe. Has anyone else had an issue with this?
  5. May unit GOOD with mod now that I grounded the PB wire correctly! Rode down the road and watched Jurassic Park today. I can see where it would be a major distraction especially when there is a lot of action on the screen. Much more so than wathching the GPS. Got my subs going too... another problem I was having last night. That turned out to be a grounding issue as well. Now on to custom backgrounds. Thanks guys!
  6. Update! Reporting partial success. I checked my grounds this morning. It seems that when I spliced in my parking brake.... I did just that. I cut the wire coming from the receiver to the brake and I put the connector on the wrong wire...meaning I actually grounded the parking brake wire and not the receiver. F*%$!*% DUUUUUHHHH. I guess monkeys can do mods after all . I was very careful and still made a stupid mistake. In my defence it was getting late last night. DVD working standing still now. Will test driving mode when I get home from work this afternoon. I will report back.
  7. Connector seems solid. Grouded yellow/black to same place on chassis as receiver ground and grouded parking brake wire under console to chassis. I hope it's not the fact that it is a May unit. At least it didn't burn it out as I was told could happen by one of the installers.
  8. sup... new to the board here. Anyway here's some info Hack not working on D3 manufactured in May '07 Will not play DVD at all with hack. Message "Viewing from front seat is strictly prohibited". I am pretty meticulous about mods and encountered no problems performing it. Switched pins and grounded yellow/black and grounded the brake wire. FTR the pin slid out fine and snapped firmly in place in its new position. I get this message even when standing still. Did reset too. '07 xterra Any ideas or am I SOL???
