Im pretty sure this is a heat issue. My 2500hd has a dash that sits a bit closer to the windshield and it does it 100% of the time during hot days! Try using a sun shield to prevent the dash from getting hot. It works everytime with the shield in place.

Success! As ducatiboy promised, a working unit that took me all of 15 minutes to install. What a nice thing not to have to flash the lights. I can vouch that with auto headlamps the unit still bypasses correctly day or night. Big ups to ducatiboy for a great part! :D :D Kenny 8)
