2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab

I had a Avic Z1 in my cobalt and I loved it work perfect. Well I traded it in, unfourtionatly the radio went with the car. Now I have a truck and it has a din and a half. It looks to have room for a double but I cant find a kit anywhere. Can yall think of anything with the HDD capability that will fit in there? I can go down to a single din, but not up to a double. Im not really in need of navigation. so, I dont have to have that I just miss the HDD. Any Ideas? I also have a tv tuner for the z-1 if anyone is interested.

i have a 2007 cobalt ss and it seems the z1 is about hal an inch to long for the hole does anyone else notice that its bigger?

2007 mazda 3 hatchback and 2007 cobalt ss the mazda 3 i had to find the swc wire in the car harness not the radio and the cobalt i used the gmahlan11 harness and it has a swc wire in the harness so two diffrent ways wire and two diffrent program modes and they both work fine maybe i just got lucky twice cause i see alot of the pm with troubles

ive tried 2 diffrent pacswips and two diffrent z-1s no problems with ether one

on my Z1 i didnt have mine hooked up and to make a 20 mile drive it would estamate an hour at 70 mph so the accuaracy of the map and eta is all i can see it helped

i have a 7000tv tuner and it also has a seperate brake wire does anyone know if there is a bypass for it??

ok my z-1 crapped out, it had a internal short somewhere and fried in this process. however, also in this process the radio somehow sent a curent threw the car and not the car computer is affected car still runs and everyhting but it says i have an open door even when there all shut and the trip meter was erased does anyone know a manual bypass to reset the computer?? i know this isnt a mazda post but hey might as well ask. the real question is i bought a z-2 can i use the same gps and stuff like that? im ganna replace the harness though and also the 2 wire bypass wont work on it hu?? any inpu

ok heres the problem i burned an MP3 Disk ( useing roxio) its called a jukebox disk by them. anywho i put it in my Z-1 and it says cd rom inserted. the book says on page 105 that you need to change your media setting by hitting the media button in order for itto read it correctly, but it doesnt give me the option on my z-1 on push it its faided out and that all it will read is dvds and cd's now in the front of the book and all threw it it says it will read MP3 disks...... So Can someone help me out??? out and i just completely overlooking something??

thats another thing i dont think you can use the same one twice you have to get the device number off your unit and the media number form the upgrade cd and go to this website and get a password for the upgrade to even start the upgrade... as far as the unpgrade manual gose it upgrades the keyboard so you can use small letters, and new 2d and 3d mode, can select weatehr to display the adress book icon on the map screen 3d landmarks, upgrade xm special contents, hand free phoneing, wider time select range, able to customize the splash screen and additional voice operations........ i know it doe

yeah it was worth it to me and as far as the bluetooth my mom says she can hear me better but i still have friend say i cut out way to bad

yeah i got my update installed it and everything go new maps and couple of other changes and i have the 2 wire bypass and it didnt effect that so the bypass still works

finaly got my update just new maps alittle bit of work on the blue tooth can type with small letters in the libray and custom splash screens so far thats all i found and DID NOT effect my 2 wire bypass

ok guys i got my 700HD in i put it in and it says unreadable disk. so i called tech support and he tells me that the usa version is not out yet then he tells me my disk has already been used and i should send it back and buy on from and autherized dealer and then have a trained tech install it. so i was like whatever, so i called the place i bought it they are a pioneer dealer and a hell of alot nicer and i told her what was going on and shes ganan find out and call me back. I mean i installed the whole system i know how to put a cd in WTF. and sugjestions?

yes the disk is out i bought mine from the long beach service center. you just cant buy it online

It might not be the best but i think it would be nice for someone to invent a weather radar that can plug into the nav unit so you can watch the weather if need be.. again not the best idea but would help some people

umm i dont think we can really answer that cause no one has the Update for the z-1 yet so..... we arnt sure however mine was shipped on friday so ill keep ya updated about the update and see if it turns it to a Z-2 and if the 2 wire bypass still works.

The 700Hd is out on the net but you can't buy it right??? i just bought mine from Pioneer. The lady told me they wasnt going to put a Buy Now button up for awhile. So. you have to call the parts office in i think long beach?? im not sure At. 1-866-214-1310 i called monday and left a message they called me back today and told me i could buy it and would be shipped monday yes the 700HD so if yall wnat to go that route there ya go.... sorry i couldnt get on before 5 but yeah you can get it from them if you call.......

new update i got a call from pioneer..... after there closeing hours and i told her my problem the nice lady fixed it she is the only nice person i have gotten in the pioneer company. anyway back to th point she said that there expecting the update in the next 2 weeks... and they get it before it goes to the parts department..... so i dunno i dont think i was just a get off the phone anwser i think its pretty accurate (sp?) but im ganna keep calling that number every now and then and see if they know anymore about a release date... but just an update parts told me september yesterday lets hope
