  1. Thanks for the replies. It then seems like the two wire bypass is better than nothing. Having the ability to use all functions at a red light is a small plus. I guess I'll tear into the dash and do the two wire bypass before I apply the bluetooth update. I know this may be off topic here, but does anyone recommend doing a reset, erasing my paired phones, and repairing with the phone volume turned down as once recommended for the echo? Or does the Pioneer update take care of the issue to the same or better degree? I know it isn't perfect, but supposedly an improvement.
  2. I have been following this forum for some time, and although I think I have read nearly every post, there are a few things that I hope someone can clarify. Is it a definite fact that Pioneer will require a Z1 to be updated to a Z2 in the process of updating the map database? From what I have read, it appears that one cannot get an update for navigation without being forced into a Z2 operating system. If that is the case, I have a question as far as the present Z1 bypass. I am still flashing my headlights on my Z1. I have the bluetooth update from Pioneer, but haven't applied it yet, si
