1. Well you can add one more happy customer of the new bigger HDD, awesome service and perfect instructions!! Thanks Garret.
2. From the link in another post, it brought you to the Europe Pioneer site, and I found this update for gracenote....but it says 08/03/2007 release.....I know Europe is ahead of us by 6 hours.....but 5 weeks!!!! Think this would also update our database? http://pioneer.se/eur/content/support/s ... HD1BT.html
3. You can get to it for free, but there is a waiting period and it's not really intuitive. Ok, how about I'll waste some of my bandwidth: http://www.sminntech.com/AvicBluetoothFix.zip Note, I'm just reposting what LeonPhelps posted. I have NOT tried this yet, I have extracted the files and poked around in the iso. But I have not stuck this into my Z1 to see if it does anything. I'm not "endorsing it" just posting it on a site with "easier" downloading. I will eventually try this with mine, but I want to do it when I have time to do the new 2 wire ground bypass. Seems lik
4. I was lookin for it everywhere but cold not find one, The Pioneer website has them in stock for $20, plus shipping and tax...total was $26.40. Cover

Here is my entry in the cover category... I used the trim piece that came with the Z1, added some plastic tabs to slide in between the Z1 and the dash to hold it in place....put a piece of cloth on one side of the trim piece, a peice of plastic on the other, than wrapped the plastice side in Carbon Fiber Vinyl "sticker", and the cloth side faces the Z1 for protection.
6.
hey campinfamily, i have rav4 2006 and i am interested in this cover. how did you get it made. please share or if you can get it mnade please let me know. how much it costs? thanks
Check out the thread above......directions are in there. It cost me nothing to make, I used material from around the house, and the trim peice that came with the Z1.....
7. Hey, that is my post!!! I posted it in here last night too. one of the security topics...a few posts down. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=798
8.
Sometimes the simple things work the best. I like the idea. Might have to try that myself also. Thanks.
I like it, here are a couple of pics
9. I posted this on another thread, but it makes sense here too. I was thinking about this last night as well, and came up with an idea, that I think works pretty well and I will post some pics tonight. I used the little plastic trim piece that came with my Z1, cut a piece of black t-shirt, and hot glued it to the trim piece, I than attached little plastic pieces that stick out and slide in between the Z1 and the metra install kit which holds it into place, I plan on putting a Ford symbol on the front of the t-shirt to make it look more "factory". It looks pretty good, now hopefully any woul

11. Is there a POI for Campgrounds, on the Z1?
12.
Yep, I understand and the instructions are on my web site: http://www.sminntech.com/z1fcinstall.html If you want one please order from there as well: http://www.sminntech.com/z1flasher.html But yes, I would recommend that you wire this all up inside sitting on a nice desk or bench with all the tools and heat shrink tubing all nicely laid out. It's much easier. All the connections will be on the harnesses provided. If you look at the instructions, you need t
13. I am going to order the circuit from you in the very near future (as soon as I order the HU). I have purchased the Harness from Crutchfiled for my vehicle 2005 F-150, no factory sub. So when I ge the unit the first plan of action is to hook up the harness to the radio inside the house, so i can take my time and not screw it up. The question is can I install the "Ducatiboy Special" at the same time, does this circuit go in-between the HU and the Harness? or does it have to be installed while the dash is open? understand?
14.

. The factory sub amp is turned on by the factory head unit too...but there is an interesting twist. It evidently uses a 5V signal to turn it on and the Z1 issues a 12V signal. This causes a very loud and annoying pop whenver you turn on the Z1 and could possibly cause issues down the road. quote] No factory sub either....it keeps getting easier and easier!!
15. Thanks guys, the headrest system I have, I installed, it has nothing to do with the current headunit. It has it's own power/DVD/Monitors/wireless Headphones/ and FM modulator, what I did was install a PIE adapter So now when I just change the input on the factory HU to "AUX" it plays the dvd through the factory HU. So this should not be an issue.
