  1. oh yeah i forgot..my d3 rear out is the only video feed hooked to the rear monitor. I havent split anything.
  2. so i went out and froze my rear off. I have a D3 in a F250 hooked up to a rear overhead monitor and my Ipod sends video to the rear... so does the front input on the unit and the aux input..... i have checked them all... the only thing the d3 will not send to the rear monitor is the map... which irritates me my N2 did but some jacka@@ stole it....... my ipod is hooked up with the ipod direct cable...small whitsh grey plug on rear of unit dedicated to ipod... it is not hooked up thru the IPbus adapter also available.
  3. I just cant figure out why those who want to navigate the same route day after day and seem to know exactly where they are going seem to want to bash one of the better and least expensive units on the market. Navigation is meant to aid you in finding an unfamiliar destination, not drive you to work every morning. Maybe you should try its routes. I used to think my "backroad shortcuts" were the fastest way to various points here locally, but my D3 seems to know the fastest route.... Yeah i have had traffic problems at times but i just detoured around and it kept rerouting me to my destination
  4. yes it does have factory cruise. I will try that. Thank you for the help.
  5. Trying to Install a Nav unit in a 89 s10 blazer 2wd. It has full guages and an auto trans. Anyone have any idea where I can find the VSS wire. Appreciate any help. Thanks.
  6. Your routes depend on the areas you are in. I have used yahoo, mapquest and pioneer and in California at least the routes are very similar. The AVIC reroutes itself and sometimes is shorter than Yahoo. I have found that some of the internet maps direct you onto roads that do not go through or do not exist. I havent run into that problem with my D3 yet.
  7. LOL...the dude at the stereo shop swears it does. I need to call him back tomorrow and find out his magic cure?!?! If I get any info i'll repost on here for you guys. I bought the D3 and screen from him and he offered to install it and made it a point to tell me he could get navi to the rear, however my budget was limited and his install for both was out of budget. Thanks for the speedy reply, hopefully i can share some info with you guys tomorrow either yes or no.
  8. I just replaced my N2, thanks to a basatrd car thief with a D3. I love this unit more than my N2, but can i get my navigation maps to output to a rear screen. If so how do i do this. It used to be a menu option on the N2. Thanks for any help
