  1. Still waiting on mine, looks like it was shipped promptly but the post office must have gone on strike. 3 weeks and still waiting. UPDATE: Finally got the disc, works great! Thanks alot!
  2. I also use the AVOX and would have to say its great. However, it does get really hot and it doesn't play as many formats as the XBOX. The size is great though and I get no interference at all.
  3. Yup its broke. I sent mine in to Pioneer and they replaced the entire board.
  4. No worries, I don't know if you are aware that most DVD players made prior to 2000 do not play VCD/SVCD/MPEG? But we are not here to argue that point, the odd thing is I can swear I have made VCDs that work on my AVIC.
  5. Well sorry, I didn't mean to sound flippant or arrogant either. The Pioneer AVIC is only a DVD player, there are probably thousands of DVD players that do not play VCD/SVCD. Nothing on the AVIC shows that it will play MPEG. The only problem I saw with your post is that http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=325727 From the second post sent the same day: Vdub will join the avis. Open the first one, then under 'file' select 'append segment', select second file. Save as new complete avi. I use Subtitle Tool to join subtitle files, change framerate, shift back or forth and s

    Divx Format

Thanks CiD, appreciate the info. And I just wanted to apologize for adding into the flames. I have no problem with someone being a wise guy, but the guys that usually do actually have something constructive to add to the topic. Thats the difference between being funny and helpful or being a douche.

    Divx Format

Reach, I appreciate the fact that you are trying to be witty and sarcastic like others on the forum, but the difference is they actually know what they are talking about. What makes me think that the D3 can play Divx is that it says so right on the BOX and on the FACE of the unit, not to mention it is on every description of the unit. Perhaps you should not be so quick to snap at a simple question and let others try to answer first.

    Divx Format

Got my D3 installed with the mod, looks great so far. Just one quick question, does anyone know how Divx discs should be formatted? I burned some Divx files onto a DVD-R and it said unreadable. Is there a limit on file name lengths? If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.
  10. Does the CD-UB100 recognize DiVX format?
  11. I think the risk is not in "gray market" goods, but will you receive the goods at all.
  12. Not to thread hijack, but I have used www.bestskinsever.com for my Treos and for a bunch of other electronics. I can't tell the difference between the more expensive invisible shields and the less expensive bestskinsever skins. Bestskinsever also does custom work and has been very receptive to product updates. The most important thing when installing these type of skins is to use slightly soapy water when installing.
  13. Well I know its probably not exactly kosher to post his reference, but realistically I think whoever uses it makes out and he makes out. I just saved $20.00 on my order, and twenty bucks is twenty bucks. Has anyone else noticed when you add the D3 it doesn't give the accessories like wiring harness etc? I had to call them up to have it added to my order. The rep also said it will most probably be going out today. Henry
  14. Well I just used your reference and got the $20.00 off. Thanks for the use and if it is considered spam I consider it well used spam.
  15. Agreed that there will be some metal shavings, but I think using a fine cutting wheel will make more metal dust versus shavings. Although thinking about it now I may be exposing the laser to alot of dust if I use compressed air to blow out the case.
  16. Question for all the AVIC gurus. I have a N1 that just returned from Pioneer and they replaced the main board and flex cable. Now I have no mod on it. Is it possible to cut the bottom case to access the solder points? I figure there would be less risk to damage the flex cables or the screen assembly. If anyone can draw on a picture of the bottom case where the solder points are I am willing to use my Dremel to cut out that part of the case. Any advice is welcome, and I am not worried about the warranty issue since Pioneer has already done the one time flex cable upgrade and I just shelle
  17. Wow didn't know anyone replied, but thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have the AVIC-N1, and I don't see the AV or the Info button at all. Does anyone have any ideas what the button combination for the AVIC-N series is?
  18. Hoping someone could help me with my Avic-N1, I can't eject the Navi disc out of the unit. It reads the Navi disc fine and everything else works but the eject doesn't do anything. I even bought another faceplate thinking it was a lead in the face but no joy. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
  19. I have a problem with my N1, it won't eject. Everything else seems to work fine but the eject button doesn't work. I looked on ebay and someone on there is offering a repair for the eject button. Does anyone know how to repair it or if the ebay auction is legit? Thanks alot.
