Cheers Mike Im just going to get an iPhone 4S for the car may be easier i think. Im just going to try play a DVD see if maybe the hand brake wire is the cause, as i did not use a bypasser i just wired it to the earth and as i have been reading more posts it seems that that is not sufficient for these head units and that you need to use a bypasser so you can replicate the on of on of the handbrake. Ill make the post on AppAddict and also mention that you are looking for other developer input also. Cheers man

Hey Mike, First off this is a brilliant project that i was delighted to find whilst looking for a new head unit for my Zafira B 07 Plate. I will be donating to this project today so watch out for that I have a few questions please: 1) I have not updated the firmware or anything yet on the head unit (avh-8500BT), when i connect my iPhone 5 to the connection kit (Lightning to HDMI) and i select apps on the head unit, it gives me a warning i need to accept, but then all it does is mirror the iPhone 5 display. Im not prompted to do anything on the devoce at all and also it does not lo
