    dumb ass ?

bump to the top for searching "new" threads so that readers will see the thread more
  3. possibly the neutral safety wire was disconnected.. possibly the switch to disable remote start (like for servicing the vehicle) was flipped. possibly the starter wire connection was disconnected. REally could be many things, i would take it to whom installed it or another pro to look at it.
  4. no worries, thats kind of a hard one to think of searching for.
  5. this has been covered in other threads, but the quality of the inverter, the power line for the converter, ground, and other components on the circuit cause the noise.
  6. call pioneer, design a system, put that engineering degree to use. lol kiddin there btw. Seriously though dont stress over it, It is what it is. With an engineering degree surely you already know what the inner workings are or could be. So a bit of harsh rough talk now, dont ask questions you know the answers to already or that you dont want to hear to begin with.
  7. part is like 38$ cost, so 100 is a bit steep
  8. so few people know what 'it' is, i am so lost! hehe
  9. right on, though that doesnt show the more important part of the install... wiring.
  10. search newsgroups theres tons of programs
  11. haha your a funny person. the WHOLE idea is to make it easy for the casual shopper to the veteran seller/buyer. It is so stupid to even suggest that youd have to be experienced to shop with ebay. that sure as hell aint ebay's stance. The morons are the scam artists and general dishonest people that use ebay
  12. you should search these forums, the person.. um, answer is out there
  13. I couldnt resist. there are things bigger then all of us. Just because you dont understand it doesnt mean its non existant. Theres circuitry thats connected to the 'nothing' pin on the inside of the unit.
  14. if you move the wire you......................
  15. actually good point, most companies dont use the myron davis one which requires you to use the rca out of the overhead... you would typically run it to the front and mount by the head unit. but they are likely to use the built in one where they dont have to run rca's, id ask to talk with the install people, probably a 3rd party install company too. get with them and ask them to rust run the rca to the front by the head unit, leave them tied up there for you later.
  16. if its aftermarket stuff, its definitely done at the dealer. "in the back" where their guys can do it. be good idea to tell them well before its done
  17. you could probably 'fish' it through, but better yet, tell the dealership to do it right, dont settle for fm modulated. besides its cheaper to do the right way instead of the modulator.
  18. i have the code ca1670 which is really audiovox. Most systems are really close to each other, if not made by the same company. Keep in mind the system is ONLY as good as its installed, it will never be better. The installer needs to adjust the shock sensor and other things to make sure its done properly, otherwise your usage will be a nightmare. You will not like a poorly installed/adjusted system nor will your neighbors. They all pretty much do the same things, few minor things different but they are dumbed down for the general public. btw, the audiovox link one above doesnt work
  19. well the G8 is rosen, dont know what auto cinema is. rosen makes an excellent overhead. Rosen has a a/v out so you can connect directly to an avic unit and get video from the overhead ON the avic.. along with sound. Keep in mind the g8 is a bit bulky. There is NO need for the fm modulators, but if you do have to use one, make sure they use the myron davis one NOT dei's or others. Ill repeat, you do not need an fm modulator, you can interface it properly with rca's. This system should not have cost you more then $1000 INSTALLED. it really isnt much of an install either. pretty simple. Just
  20. you should post once you have the vehicle and flip down... some dealers say factory dvd, when its really an aftermarket.
