  1. I recently synced my Palm Pre with my Z2, it is able to make/receive phone calls fine through the Z2, but when the phone book syncs, it just shows garbage characters (like squares and triangles and stuff) for the Caller ID name, and the Contact Name in the Phone Book on the Z2. Has anyone had this problem?
  2. Trying to hook up my iPod Video to my Z2. I've enabled the AUX input in the A/V Settings, and I've plugged the A/V cables into the rear of the unit. I get nothing when I switch to the Aux input. I've taken the iPod, and the Cable that I'm using into my house and plugged it into my Home Stereo receiver, and it works with no issues, so I know it's not the iPod or the cable. I've also search through other posts on the forum and have not found any answers. Anyone have a solution for this issue?
  3. 1. if you plan on using your ipod a lot don't expect to be very pleased with the interface. 2. If you plan to upload a lot of your CD's to the hard drive you may want to read about some of the issues with gracenote 3. If you plan on using the BlueTooth feature, make sure your phone is supported. I'm not very impressed with the Z2 overall, but that being said it was the only thing on the market at the time with the features.
  4. I've read in a couple spots on this forum that the Windows burning software will not work.
  5. nope total ammount of data on the CD was 612Kb I didn't use a 100mb dummy folder or anything. it just found the pictures.
  6. for mine I did the following. 1. Created a folder called "Pictures" on my desktop caps or no caps didn't matter on mine. 2. Copied my picture into the folder (I had 4 pictures) 3. Opend Nero chose CD-ROM (ISO) from the CD Type Menu 4. Added the "Pictures" folder to the compilation 5. Burned the CD as No multisession and marked to finalize That's it.
  7. Okay, it was there hidden in plain sight. I wasn't going all the way into the "Change background" menu. Thanks for the help!
  8. i'm pretty sure I checked there and there were no options to load from CD. but I'll go double check.. thanks for the suggestions.
  9. I've tried a couple different things. 1. Pictures on a CD in a folder called Pictures 2. Pictures on a CD in a folder called PICTURES 3. Pictures on a CD in folder called PICTURES with 100mb junk files Everytime I put the CD in it just sits there and says "CD ROM inserted" and that's it. I've looked in my manual, but it's very vague, basically tells you how to add pictures for address book. that's the only thing I can find. Any help would be appriciated.
  10. Yep, been there done that, but all I saw was custom backgrounds for D3, and the Z1, however I guss according to the previous post the procedure is the same for the Z1 and Z2. Thanks!
  11. I know this information has to be on here somewhere, but I'm trying to make and upload a custom background for my Z2. i've found information for doing this on other systems, but not specific for the Z2. What is the Image Size I need to use? What is the procedure for creating the file and uploading it to the Z2? I've searched and looked through all the Z1/Z2 sections but can't seem to find it.
