Hi newbie here really after some advice... I purchased my sph-da110 before xmas last yr, works fine with my S3 connected either using usb/mirrorlink or MHL/appradio... tried back then to connect my old nano to leave in glove box for music, but whilst i could click on the yellow ipod icon, and it accessed the music fine, no audio was coming out (vague intermittent buzzing heard on volume 21). I assumed this was down to the connector as it didnt use the lightening connector supplied. Finally got some money to buy a brand new ipod touch last night, loaded the music and plugged it in... SAME issue the yellow icon lights up, i can access play lists / artwork etc, but no audio again after a faff, I can get it to play over the bluetooth with my S3 connected in mirrorlink so i know there is no issue with the ipod / speakers, its clearly down to the cable connection set-up but cant for the life of me work out another way to connect it up. any advice greatly recieved!! Bo
Hi all, My problem is no audio or video from my new iPhone5 thru the CD-IV202NAVI and lightning-to-VGA adapter combination. I can see the iPhone detect that an external display is attached and start sending video out, but nothing shows up on my AVIC-x940bt head unit. I have everything wired up properly (as far as I can tell)(the iPhone wouldn't detect and change modes if not(?)), switch is flipped to "2" on my VGA adapter (CD-IV202NAVI). I am starting to wonder if its defective. I had an iPhone4s and it worked perfectly, but now with the new phone and all the adapters; nothing. And yes, i was using different adapter cables back then, of course. I must be retarded and not seeing something simple and obvious, cuz it is truly a no-brainer to install and setup. Supposed to be anyway. Is there a firmware update or something I am missing? Anyone had similar trouble and able to figure it out? Summarizing: 1. Phone: iPhone5 (which detects an external display and changes modes) 2. AVIC: X940BT (which worked perfectly with iPhone4s/cables) 3. CD-IV202NAVI (installed, 12vdc on "Acc" ignition circuit, and set to "2") 4. Apple VGA-to-lightning adapter installed 5. Lightning cable installed 6. Problem: no audio nor video from phone (iPod mode, AV Mode, etc...only audio plays via Bluetooth) I would remove the Avic unit and ensure proper wiring but like I said, the phone detects and changes modes to send video out the lightning cable)
Mr. Underhill posted a topic in XM/Sirius/HD Radio and Traffic ReceiversI have an Avic F-700bt. I have a SCC1 connected to the CD-SB10 which then connects to the head unit (the Avic). This has been the set-up for quite sometime until just recently the Sirius stopped producing audio. All other sources (iPod, CD, etc) produce audio). Visually all the sirius information is displayed (as if the unit was playing satellite radio). I have contacted Sirius and I swapped out the SCC1 for a new one. I also swapped the cable that connects the SCC1 to the CD-SB10 Module. Still no audio. However, after I swapped the SCC1 for a new one I noticed the following things, in addition to no audio still: 1) I can no longer change the station. It is stuck on Station 100. Yes, Howard. 2) While the Sirius rep was on the phone activating the new SCC1 I heard all sorts of static and stuff. Noises that I was unable to turn down (or Up) using the volume control on the Avic. I could not tell what the audio was -- it was basically just crackling. So, in sum, still no audio and I now I can't change the station. Btw. I tried reseting the unit and that did not do anything either. How else can I trouble shoot this to isolate where the problem is?
