Map Daytime/Night time disply wont change.

When I go to map options, where it lets you switch from daytime to nighttime map display, it will let me change them, but there is no difference, it shows daytime all the time. I have tried changing it with the illumination wire hooked up and w/o it, no change.

 

Is there a fix for this or is it a trip to Pioneer?

Take the dimmer wire (orange) and put it on your light circuit. So when you put on your lights it will switch to night display.

It is, it doesn't change.

 

But I'm saying, I try to switch it in options too and it doesn't change.

 

I'll pull it out again to check the fuse but its not switching manually either.

The unit won't change with out the orange wire connected. I see that you said that it is connected. If so. You got me. I would put a test light on the wire. See if your getting juice when you put your lights on. If so, then its a short in that wire. What I did...The harness that I got for my car, the Lum, wire was there but didn't have juice. I ran the ashtray wire to the Lum/orange wire and it worked. The N2 mapping turned black at night when you put the lights on. Before that when it wasn't working, i couldn't switch it manually. I tried to go into the settings and change it but it would look the same. I hope that helps.
