isdereks
Anyone recommend someone or someplace that isn't going to charge $500+? I checked out Car Toys and they quoted me like $200 for the HU and an additional $80-90 for each additional "accessory" like the GPS and Bluetooth module, etc. I'd like to learn so I'm interested in being in he car while the installation is happening. Which car toys did you go to? And how much did you end up paying (if you don't mind me asking)?
kruff10
car toys and big boy toys are to high and a rip off. beware of them
toytaco
Yeah I know but I did not want to rip into my truck. I bought the D3X which has the BTB-200 bluetooth module with iPod connector for $999, I also had them throw in the steering wheel controller. It all totaled around $1400 with install and tax. I went to the Lynnwood Car Toys. The first unit was a POS and I eventually had them replace it at no cost. It was a huge pain. Just be aware if you are buying this unit for GPS, it pretty much sucks. isdereks
Ok, tried to do some price shopping at a different Car Toys and the rep helping me told me that the D3 could not use my factory amp. WTF. Seriously need to find a small non-Car Toys installer.
bullseye
I had my D3 installed at Bestbuy. Later I had a custom alarm installed at Fry's in Renton. In my opinion, Fry's did better work, and you know they have the best prices! They are worth a look.
tracklayers
200 for a install of the D3 is cheap. I have 5 years experience in this field and I also live in Seattle. I could do it for you. What accesories do you have. Reply to me at kmacwatters@kginvestment.com
