new D3 new phone and no phone book
toytaco replied to Fordtechman's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
I am assuming your phone is registered with the BTB because it autoconnects. Without getting too detailed here.....It's supposed to do that. That's when you do your transfer. So give it another try, when it "disconnects" transfer contacts however the BB transfers. -
Kiss Ass. LOL. When he came up with that avatar it scared the hell out of me cause it looks just like my brother.

A clown juggling. I love it. Now that I think about it I can see that. (now post only once dammit)

Has anyone been able to sync their phonebook?
toytaco replied to thejollyroger9's topic in Problems/Troubleshooting
Nor can you load somebody else's phone book to use with yours. In order to transfer contacts you need to register the phone with the BTB and the contacts are specific to that phone. -
I've always thought the icon was some sort of fountain and it is always within a park.

For me what I don't understand is when a young couple, such as my neighbors, have their first child why one of the first things they do is buy a family van. Why? -

I hear ya. I like to think I am pretty savvy also and have experienced the same level of frustration. The manuals are terrible (screen shots in manual do match my D3 though). It has taken some time, some tweaking and some learning but I now love the D3. Especially compared to that clunky 6 CD changer that came with the truck. BUT don't get me started on the Navi!!! I don't even use it other than a sort of database for searching addresses and phone numbers. Other than that it pretty much stinks. And you are welcome. Glad I could help. -
wont find proper city or street when doing an address search

Woohoo! Another Taco!! -
Ok, here is something dumb. When you are at the register screen (when your phone is connected, of course lol) You need to press and hold the first (soft key) position until your phone name populates that position. Kind of like setting a radio station preset on most stereos. If you have done that please post back with a little more specifics. Also make sure that your phone permissions is set up to allow connection with the BTB. As far as arcuhtek's post above, please do follow his link and read on further. Good info but IMO a little misguided and it is simply because this whole blu

Dude! I found your manual for a Motorola V325 online and it looks like you are lucky to even have BT! In fact I can't even find anything pertaining to BT in the manual. I hate to say it but that is one of the most basic phones I have seen. How old is it? I pretty much suggest a new phone. EDIT: I now found the manual for a Motorola V325I which is what you must have because the 325I does have BT whereas the V325 does not. The manual also notes that you DO NOT have OBJECT PUSH so you will not be able to move any contacts from your phone to the BTB. But I would like to touch upon -

The above statement makes me go hmmmm. 1. Are you turning the bluetooth (BT) of your phone off and on everytime you enter/exit the truck or is the phone doing that itself? ...Maybe it's me but I always have my BT on on the phone. It should be ON before you start your truck. 2. You also have to set your phone up so that when the BTB-200 tries to shake hands with your phone that your phone does not need to authorize. In your phone's BT menu highlight the Pioneer BT Unit2 and find something like INCOMING SECURITY and set that to ALWAYS CONNECT. Or something similar, I am not familia -
First off I would also like to welcome you to Seattle. Hope you like the weird ass weather we have. Isn't it funny though? I have a D3 with the BTB-200 and I can't complain at all. It is works flawlessly as far as call quality. I also have the iPod connection which I would prefer to be a little easier to use as far as searching but I am cool with leaving it on random play and just going with the flow. Or I use playlists for particular moods and random play those also. . BUT....if usable/accurate Navi is one of your criteria for purchasing a unit I would steer way the hell away from
