psychosandman Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 i just bought a avic n3 .. i installed everything and grounded out my green wire .. no switch was fliped .. and video works great .. i have yet to do my navi as i need a antanna .. as it was a display model and was not given to me .. my question is do i need to peel that sticker and switch it to have all functions work as all posts i have read have had to do the switch to have the video work and mine has not but still works ... ....also to have the dynamics thing work .. is the navi ant a must to work proporly ... i hooked up the vss ... and the speedo says its not available ? .... any help would be greatly apreciated .... thank you in advance chris Quote Link to post Share on other sites
occb2 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 Its a little more detail that that. Its not as easy as peeling the sticker and switching the switch. You have to rigg up a paperclip. You should take it to a radio shop that does installs. They charge almost nothing and you know your not going to mess up the radio. jhodge83 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 yeah, u need the gps antenna to get the speedo b/c it works off of gps locations, not the speedo in ur car. my gps speedo reads 2mph slower than my truck speedo and i trust it more than the truck speedo.
