RED903L
The standard 9-10FT cable lengths for the XM and NAV are not long enough for a "custom" install I'm thinking about attempting. It'd sure simplify things if I could just order pre-made cable to the length I need, but I'm not opposed to making them myself. I just don't know what type cable/wire I need , or where to get it!! Anyone know where to locate the kind of stuff I'm going to need? A couple other questions: Will lengthening the cable degrade the signal? Better to have a one piece cable, without a "connector/splice"?? Thanks in advance......
whtcrxghst
The GPS antenna is 5 meters. Not sure if an extension would hurt your reception For XM, I remember there were 20 and 50 foot extenstions at best buy a few years ago, so I am sure they are still out there somewhere. Might work on the GPS too, but who knows?
