RidinaZ
My gps antenna broke off(the plastic connecter to the console) and there is a scrawny wire exposed. is it even worth it to try to solder this back together or would it be a waste of time?
HiFiSi
The plastic connector on the end of the antenna cable or the plasic connector on the unit itself? Pics?
RidinaZ
at the unit end where connects to avic d3. Sorry no pics. The plastic lock in connecter is seperated from the wire wire looks sorta like the mute wire when you change it for the bypass.
deepissues
Mine did the same thing, but its easy to fix. I unlocked the clip in the plastic connector, than take a pair of pliers and open the clamped metal end opposite the end that goes to the radio, slide the wire in till it stops and recrimp the metal around the wire. Slide the wire into the plastic housing again (noticing that the metal insert has a metal nub on one side to orient it. Than reattach it to the radio. Deep
