LostAngel
Hi I have a 2007 Non-Bose Corvette, and was wondering where the VSS wire is?
ct_mike
Does the vette have the speed control volume like a lot of the other GM vehicles? If so, the VSS signal is already in the harness I believe. ct_mike
thatdood
Check out http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthr ... ?t=1518095 for more information regarding your installation. I have a 2006 non BOSE Corvette (same car as yours) and the VSS wire is not located in the radio harness. The ECM can be accessed by removing the front passenger wheel, removing the plastic wheel well cover. Non BOSE If you do not have the Bose stereo you will have to go to either the instrument cluster bundle or the ECM to find the VSS wire. However it would be easier to go the instrument cluster. The VSS wire is located at pin 6 on the instrument cluster plug. Again, it is a dark green wire with white stripe. BOSE system The VSS wire is located in the black 12 pin wiring harness that goes into the back of the stereo. It is the dark green wire with a white stripe. Located at pin D. There is a second dark green wire with white stripe at pin H but that is the right audio signal wire so it is dead now. This is the wire you will need to tap.
MisFit
Speed Sense dk. green/white cluster or ECM, black plug, pin 57 The ECM (Engine Control Module) is in the front passenger fender. Have to remove the wheel and the access panel behind the wheel to get to it. Also found in the radio harness on some models.
