animek8er93 Posted February 24, 2008 Report Share Posted February 24, 2008 ok ive had a d3 for a month now and it use to turn off when i turned the car off but the other day i put the ipod wire in and i just noticed its not turning off anymore i know it always turned off before the ipod wire but im not sure if its been just now or if its the ipod wire i just plugged the wire into the back where it fit can anyone tell me why its not turning off automatically anymore by turning the radio and screen off manually is that enough to not drain the battery or will the lights that can change colors or whatever for the buttons on the side still drain my battery because i cant figure out how to turn them off my battery sucks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

DaveK52 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Share Posted February 25, 2008 I had a D3 installed professionally on my wife's car. She had this same problem within the first couple of days. It even killed the battery one day. The installer tried several fixes before replacing the whole D3 itself. It now works great.
