xoliex
i've had the d3 for 9 months now and have ran into a few addresses that don't come up on the nav which totally pisses me off. for one, it doesn't pull up my wife's grandmothers house which is 20 years old. it doesn't pull up my address which is only 5 years old now. i could put up random address which have been here for a long time and nothing! for the most part, most addresses work though! is there some kind of disc or updates that will be more updated? its really frustrated when the nav doesn't even bring up my own home address! HiFiSi
I've found that if you enter in the city before entering the street name, it pretty much gets rid of the problem. I've only run across like 1, maybe 2 addresses it couldn't find.
xoliex
how would you enter a city first? whenever i go in it ask for a bldg # or house # and then the street name, then it goes to cities. how would you go straight to cities?
numberone
Touch the city tab before you key in the address.

xoliex
thats dam ridiculous when you buy a new radio and you have to buy updated disc so you dam home address works!!!!! thats retarded. its like they purposely not put certain addressses so you have to buy new disc. HiFiSi
There is no update disk for the D3. I believe there is an option to save your current location to your address book without actually having to enter in the address of where you are. So while you're sitting in your driveway with the nav running, save that point to memory, then set it as the "home" location. Then any time you need to set your house as the destination, you just select the "return home" option in the destination menu. That way you don't even have to enter in an address at all. Julius
Hey HiFiSi ! So you're saying you can't ever update the D3's firmware,POI or maps as long as you own it.
HiFiSi
No, I'm just saying you can't do that until they release update disks, which they haven't yet.
Julius
Ok, How much do they run?
HiFiSi
$250 from Pioneer, less if you can get it from ebay or got somebody to send you a burned copy or something, and maybe free if you know where yo look and have a dual layer DVD burner.
