difference between z1 and z2

hey whatsup guys, i'm in the market for a pioneer avic z, but i want to know what are the differences between the z1 and z2? besides the z2 having newer software (which you can upgrade the z1 to have, it's just a cd upgrade i think?), are there any big differences between the z1 and z2?

 

am i better off getting a newer z2, or am i better off saving money by buying a z1 and upgrading the map so that it will have z2 maps?

basically it's:

Yes, that's what the upgrade disc is. It turns your Z1 into a Z2.
