ditaly03
Anyone have a TV tuner hooked to their D3. If so; what brand and how is the picture quality?
supernet
I would LOVE to know this one!
installermarc
It will depend on the quality of the TV tuner and the signal quality you will get. Don't forget you have less than 12 months to enjoy that analog TV tuner. Feb 2009 the switch gets turned off.

mtmichaelson
lol... I don't even wanna know how much that costs... not to mention the god awful giant frisbee on the roof! It says at the bottom that the MSRP is ONLY $2,995.00!!!
ditaly03
That's not even including the monthly service
OrangeElement
Monthly service is like $49.95 or something like that. I know you can get Direct TV for $10/month if you already have it at home. There's no frisbe on the roof, either. It's a window or roof mount antenna similar to the old 80's cellular one.

mrgoodbar67
where you hear about the dish one? website etc.........
OrangeElement
I'll have to go back and find it... it was a difficult find before. In the mean time, here's a Youtube about the other unit, mentioning the price of $10/month:
Derf
The cellular type antenna is for the internet/MSN. For Satellite TV you need the big round saucer on your roof. I know this, I was going to buy it, but my truck wouldn't fit in the garage once the dish was installed. The per month charges vary, depending if you already have Direct TV at home or not. If the XM Sirius merger ever goes through, Sirius will have double the bandwith and roll out more channels to add to the 3 kids channels they offer now with their back seat TV system. OrangeElement
ah, that makes sense. I'm fairly certain that they will come out with a smaller unit in the near future. The video says that they expect this to be in a LOT of cars within the next ten years. As everything else, the price will have to come down. I'd still consider buying it, though. Even today.
