zirotti
Hello! Was recommended that this is where the experts live, so I figured I would post up. I looking to replace the factory Bose Head Unit in my 07 Chevy Trailblazer SS with the AVH-P4000DVD. In order to preserve steering wheel controls, OnStar, door chimes, XM as well as iPod integration, I believe I need the following... Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD DVD Receiver Metra VT-GMOS-04 GM Class II Data bus Interface PAC SWI-PS - Pioneer and Sony Steering Wheel Radio Control Interface XM Direct Satellite Radio Pkg for Pioneer Pioneer CD-i200 iPod Control Interface Is there anything that I appear to be missing? whtcrxghst
The Pioneer XM adaptor is model #GEX-P920XM. Don't bother with that XM direct shit from Terk, it never works right.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Didn't even know Pioneer made their own XM adapter. What are the known issues with the Terk adapters?
whtcrxghst
The Terks have had issues with every A/V or nav piece Pioneer has ever made. Sometimes they don't work at all, sometimes you can't name your presets, etc. Terk just does an overall shitty job on it. Plus it doesn't have a P-bus in/out so you can't add other accessories later. Besides, the Pioneer is about the same price anyway
zirotti
Great points. I appreciate the feedback. I will definitely be going the Pioneer route instead of Terk. Thanks.
Karch
Zirotti, Did you get your XM yet? I only ask as I bought my D3 off the TBSSOwners forum and also got the XM with Traffic, and I'm looking to unload the module. The rest went in easy. Thanks.
