brooks93 Posted August 5, 2006 Report Share Posted August 5, 2006 well I got my z1 and sirius yesterday and installed it tonight in my 2006 double cab tundra. 4 hours start to finish. Took it for a test drive and got 3d hybrid in less then 5 miles. Kinda shocked me but thats what it said when I checked the hardware screen. This thing is awsome. couple of questions though when using nav it didnt mute the music when it was giving me directions just tried to talk over it. Did I miss a connection or is it a setup issue? I need to mount the sirius unit yet but, how much room do I need to leave around it for prober cooling or can I mount it under my center counsol? thanks for the help in advance Quote Link to post Share on other sites
atcnorman Posted August 5, 2006 Report Share Posted August 5, 2006 Not sure about your cooling issue, but the other I can help you with. If you go to any source of audio (hit that A/V button) then go to settings. After you are under that menu there is a tab for "audio" and a tab fot "system". Click the "system" tab and its under that menu, I think it's on page two. You can have it totally mute Nav and Radio, or lower it 10db or 20db. Good luck glad to hear you enjoy it! A1cntrler Posted August 7, 2006 Report Share Posted August 7, 2006 Mounting it to cool from the vents is a good idea. I thought of doing that, but then remembered that I like to be warm in the winter, and then I would have hot air blowing out onto the unit. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have it mounted to the on the metal floor and the vents that its gets cooled by are in the rear so I can shut of that air if I have too. I don't usally have riders back there.
