davesiar
As the topic states, I am installing the D3 in my mustang along with the PNR2. There is a harness that comes with Sirius that I don't understand. It has a yellow wire and a black wire, and a fuse. It plugs into the Sirius, but I do not know where to splice the yellow wire into. I know the black is a ground and I just soldered that wire to one that is already attached to the chassis. What do I do with the yellow wire? Any help would be appreciated. whtcrxghst
Connect the yellow to the yellow power wire in the main harness, or any other source of similar power
Dane186
Are you sure you can install the D3?
davesiar
Yeah, why? You being a smart a$$? I was just asking for some help, that is what this forum is for, right?? I am not a stereo installer, as this is the first one that I am attempting to install. The head unit works as I already have that hooked up, I was just asking what wire behind the dash to connect the yellow one too so I don't F up the sirius or pioneer unit. Have a great day peehole! Meatwad
It should go to 12V constant power. If you don't, you'll lose your presets every time you turn the car off.
whtcrxghst
My PNR1 doesn't lose presets, even when I disconnect the car battery. They are stored somehow  It should go to 12V constant power. Meatwad
Werid. I'm pretty sure my PNR2 would lose them without being connected to a constant 12V. Maybe that's a difference between the 1 and 2?
whtcrxghst
Na, only difference is the 2 gives you sportsticker and favorite song memory  Werid. MadFlava
The OP will prolly never see this but I highly recommend getting the OEM Sirius antenea from Ford and installing it. Much nicer than the supplied magnetic antenea.
