I just recently bought my Z2 and I love it - except for my bluetooth echo issue.

The other thing I am having an issue with is that I never see the night time display for the maps. I always have the day time maps displayed even at 10:00 PM. In reading the manual it states that the night time display only appears when the car lights are turned on. I guess my installer forgot to hook up a wire or something. My question here is, do I need to have this wire hooked up or is there another way to get the night time view to work. If I do need to hook the wire up, which wire is it and where does it go?

Thanks for your help!!

Thanks for responding. I have it set to Auto, but I think that the wires need to be setup to bring up the night time display. You would think there would be a Day, Automatic and Night setting. Do you happen to know if there is another way to get the night time view without connecting the wires?

Thanks

Larry

I am not sure about where it is on the Z-2, but on my D-3 there is a hardware menu. In this menu you can check for proper connection of different things. Including the headlight wire. When you are in that menu, turn your head lights all the way on, then all the way off. Does the setting change? If not, take it back to have the installer fix it. If it does, then you may have to double check your day/night settings as stated above.
