aznkitten
I have my gps antenna located on the dashboard (center), and I have my antenna settings right (center angle). Ever since it was installed in my car, my location (arrow) has always been accurate (never had to modify anything), until I came back from the car wash yesterday. I found my antenna dangling off the dashboard, I'm assuming it was moved because they were cleaning the inside. So I put it back to its original position, but as I was moving, my location (arrow) was way off. I went to "Modify Current Location" and it seemed like it did the job, but today it was off again. It jumps around, and when I make pull in to a driveway, usually it won't say any streets, which is correct, but now its giving me streets.. Is there a way to reset the system, like put it to the state when I first installed it? I tried resetting to the factory default, but I dont even know what it does. It didn't do anything. Please help!
aznkitten
Ok i just read a relevant thread suggesting to clear the 3D settings. Mine said Simple Hybrid, before I went ahead and cleared the 3D settings. Does it usually take awhile, because I'm stuck on "Sensor Initializing"? I would really appreciate any help guys. cntrylvr79
Yea it can take anywhere from 2-20 miles to go from initializing to simple or 3d hybrid.
aznkitten
thanks for the reply. Yes, I found out after reading it in the threads that it takes a while, so I drove more than 20 miles today and it stills says initializing?
whtcrxghst
Is your VSS hooked up?
aznkitten
Yes, it is. Although I've never really paid any attention to it, but it tracked the miles I've drove, how fast I was going etc... but now its stucked.. my position does not move at all.
aznkitten
Here are some snapshots: This is what shows up on the startup. This is what my 3D Calibration looks like My status  Does your antenna have that little dip on top like mine? I dont remember seeing it before, but I have a bad memory. aznkitten
Ok, I read more search results, and a user posted his antenna: This is from his D3, and my assumption was right, this is how mine looked like and now it has that little dent or dip!
whtcrxghst
I am only guessing, but I have never seen an antenna with a groove in it like that. Maybe it is damaged or something and thats why your system doesn't work. Â When you have the 3D calibration screen pulled up, those satellites should be lit up. You are not getting any. The fact that it says OK only means that it senses that something is plugged into the hole. Its supposed to be on something metal so I would try that first, on the roof if possible. If you still get no sats lit up, you have a bad antenna
cntrylvr79
Your antenna is damaged, and you're not getting any reception because of it. That nice little line at the top of it mean something has crushed part of the antenna.
