Ursus
Hi all, the power (+) wire for the boyo vtl400 camera is in close proximity to the video wire (yellow) so that means i cant tap the power from the reverse light near the trunk. So my question becomes, can I tap that power wire into the yellow battery line from the D3? I am also tapping the bluetooth power from that line so I'm afraid that there wont be enough power? I'm no electrical guru so I don't know how the current flows. (I assume I can tap all the grounds together too) Help please This is what I'm talking about. Please let me know if this will work. Top left (from Boyo) Top Right (for Bluetooth) Bottom Left (D3 harness)
Julius
I hooked my camera that way.I don't have bluetooth but I would think that's too much current draw on one wire(bluetooth,camera,D3).I would find another switched circuit and tap your bluetooth or camera to that.If your cigarette lighter powers off with the ignition that would be perfect. MisFit
you can put multiple accessories on the same power wire, its fine. but you dont want to put your camera power on a constant line. you want it on an accessory line. connect it to the red wire in the radio harness
Julius
Sorry Misfit just wanted to be cautious since I wasn't a 100% sure.
