  1. Man, I just got my ipod classic (for free) and reading this is breaking my heart. O wellz, just ordered the composite AV cable, we'll c how it works.
  2. Specifically Nokia 7373. After I press "Transfer phonebook" on the D3, the devices disconnect (which is normal). I use my phone to transfer data to a bluetooth device, it finds the D3, but when i press "transfer" on my phone, it shows "Bluetooth Connection failed"?? Anyone?
  3. Installed my D3 on Friday, used it today, and I found out exactly what he's saying. I live in Northwest part of Greater phoenix and wanted to go somewhere in Scottsdale (East) and the Navi kept on telling me to get off freeway early to go local, I was like huh??? so I double checked to see if the "avoid freeway" thing was on, but it wasnt. Its hard to explain so I have a drawn map. Essentially, it'd rather you driving 15 miles local. This can be avoid by changing the "prefered exit" prior to departure, which is no big deal i guess, just wish it had as good as a impression as its ipo
  4. Wow it was magic! I fixed everything thanks!!! As for the reverse camera, I know the problem now. The power for the camera is tapped into the accessory wire (on during ignition only) so when i turn on the car, it'll swap into camera mode, but after that I have to manually turn it on)
  5. wow thanks! will try them tomorrow.
  6. Sorry this is for 2007 Altima sedan. The factory wires I spliced. 1. VSS wire behind the spedometer. 2. Illumination wire from the factory harness. (dimming functions correctly) 3. Reverse wire from the driver's kick panel. (checked with voltmeter) I did ground everything (e-brake, reverse camera, bluetooth) all on the black wire and I grouded that onto the chassis. Any idea?
  7. Everything works fine, except... 1. My "Auto-Up" function for the front windows dont work anymore!!! How do I fix this? I dont remember messing with this part during the installation? 2. The airbag light on the spedometer (not the one below the AC vent) keeps on lighting up. 3. How do I set the D3 so that it converts to the reverse camera automatically when I put into reverse? (the power is tapped in accessory, D3 harness is connected to the reverse wire) HELP!!!
  8. Um, sorry to be such a n00b. I searched about this but I think no one has ever asked this bc it's prob so simple. The question is in the picture Please answer the following..
  9. perfect! thx so much. Will install this weekend
  10. Hi all, the power (+) wire for the boyo vtl400 camera is in close proximity to the video wire (yellow) so that means i cant tap the power from the reverse light near the trunk. So my question becomes, can I tap that power wire into the yellow battery line from the D3? I am also tapping the bluetooth power from that line so I'm afraid that there wont be enough power? I'm no electrical guru so I don't know how the current flows. (I assume I can tap all the grounds together too) Help please This is what I'm talking about. Please let me know if this will work. Top left (from Boyo) Top R
  11. anyone know what the bottom pin of the relay connects to? help~
  12. Hi guys, i just got new info and a new question. Someone on another forum suggested using a relay? is that necessary? The following image is for a Ford I believe Let me see if i get this, so i can crimp the positives together and put them on a female connector, and BOTH negatvie (grounds) on BOTH top and right pins. BUT WHERE DOES THE BOTTOM ONE CONNECT TO???
  13. Thanks alot for the quick replies. Since I'm installin a D3, i guess it would be useless to tap into a constant power source; i will try the reserve light source, if that doesnt work, i will try the radio one. Thanks!
  14. Hi guys, a couple of questions regarding the BOYO VTL400 on my 07 Altima 1. Power tap: I plan to tap the camera to reverse light so that it only turns on when i put the car into reverse. But I've read that sometimes the reverse light wire itself may not have the power to supply the camera? is that true? If that's the case, is there any other wires that I can tap the camera to? 2. Input tap: is that just straight to the back of the D3? so basically just harness it from the trunk to the dash? via doorsills n' stuff. Thanks so much, trust me I searched throughout the forum and c
  15. Sorry to revive an old thread, but does anyone know or have a picture of the actual reverse light wire (PINK/BLACK (+) DRIVERS KICK) and the Illumination wire (RED/BLUE (+) Radio Harness) If not could you briefly tell me what exactly is the "DRIVERS KICK"? is that the kick plate right below the steering wheel? but which side is it? and I assume radio harness is one of the wires on the factory harnesses. (I also assume there's only one RED/BLUE wire) Last but not least, (+) means the charge? does it show "+" on the wire? Thanks so much in advance.
