jschmid8706 Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 Im currently installing the D3 and was curious as to where the best places are to put the GPS receiver thing, the mic to the bluetooth, the bluetooth box itself and also the ipod cord (glovebox probably?) HiFiSi Posted April 15, 2008 Report Share Posted April 15, 2008 GPS antenna - Up on the front of the dash, or in some cases up inside the dashboard as long as there's nothing metal above it to block the signal. You can install it on the outside of the car, but it's not really necessary. You can get full signal on the dash underneath the windshield. BT mic - Anywhere in front of the driver... in the dashboard, on the pillar, on the headliner... it's pretty sensitive, as long as it's in front of you, it will pick up your voice fine. Just note that it's a directional mic, and has to be aimed towards you to work best. BT module - anywhere, really. In the glove box, inside the dash somewhere if there's room, even under a seat if room is scarce. Inside of or up underneath the dash is the most common place to put it. ipod cable - glove box, console, wherever you would want to keep your ipod Quote Link to post Share on other sites
