Had to reset - now touchscreen won't work....HELP?!?

Hey -

 

I was having issues with some of the navigation functions - so I took some of the great advice and reset my D3. Now - the touchscreen isn't working - and I set up a security question. Any ideas on how I can get this to work - or bypass the security question (yes - I know my answer)?

 

Please - please help!

did you have the password set? you may have to touch the 3 spots on the tip of the screen to get the login, there is a section in the manual about this.

Hey - thanks for the reply. I had set the password prior to a "friend" doing the bypass (which didn't work, btw) - and when he had everything the dash and everything back together - the touchscreen wouldn't work at all. I tried touching the 3 spots as when I'd set up the password - but that didn't work either. So - I reset the unit.

 

LONG STORY SHORT - I went to a local audio shop today and they looked at it - found that a couple of wires were loose - so he fixed it....AND fixed the bypass while he was there. So - I'm back up and running again and LOVING IT!!

 

Thanks again, for the reply. I'd searched the forums about bypassing the security screen - but the posts weren't exactly recent....and was hoping that maybe someone had found a way around it. But it's all good now.
