John
I had my bluetooth installed yesterday. If I dial out or in it is fine, but if I am not dialing the connection drops after about 15 sec or so. I updated my phone software last night, but it did not help. Can someone help me...please. bdmpastx
It has to do with the power settings on the phone itself. They turn off bluetooth to save power if the power saving settings are turned on. My HTC Wizard does the same thing. Just an annoyance for those with PDA phones. regular phones don't turn off bluetooth cause they aren't doing the functions a PDA phone does.
knicks0819
i'm having the same problem with the same phone (treo 650 verizon).. anyone have any solutions to this? i think it disconnects when the backlight goes off (i don't think its very practical to keep the backlight on the entire time either).. the thing is though.. even after it disconnects, i'm able to receive calls on the Z1 and also make outgoing calls from the phone itself.. the only place where the disconnection does affect the Z1 is that you can't directly call a POI (or manually dial the number from the Z1) because it thinks the phone isn't on (until you get a call or make one from the phone directly).... so anyone have any ideas or solutions? pmetzger1
the treo 650 does not constantly send off a signal only when it has to be used therefore you can't download your business cards or make a call using your touch screen...one of the drawbacks of the 650 i guess
fanito
I have the 8125 Cingular (which is the same as the HTC) and works like a champ!
ogn.ynot
i had the same problem with my treo650(cingular) all i did was re-register the phone with the Z1 and now the bluetooth works like a charm.... i believe when i had the problem i didn't properly register the phone so if you are unsure you should re-do it. hope that helps, if not sorry. palter
I had the same problem, and never found a good solution to it, Palm pointed at Pioneer and Pioneer pointed at Palm. I upgraded to a 700p and the problem went away, so I guess the problem is with the code in the Palm..... Bill
