cdw5510
I am also wondering does the AVIC N3 have cell phone capabilities?
wratran
This is only a mute wire. When it sees a ground the AVIC will mute. This is mainly for the bluetooth car kit like the Parrot. I have the AVIC and the Parrot installed in my car. It is basically a bluetooth car kit that use the factory speaker/radio.
cdw5510
Can you supply more information on this topic, the parrot and how it works with the N3. Thank you.
GnatGoSplat
Pioneer used to sell a simple cell-phone controlled mute accessory. It would detect when your cell phone rings or is in use and would ground the mute wire on the HU. I never tried it because unfortunately, it doesn't work with 1900MHz phones which is what mine is (T-Mobile). The model # was CD-CM1.
